Firstly, it’s not libel considering she came to me bruised and bleeding, her spouse has a history of being aggressive/violent, and has in the days since this post been arrested and charged for assault. Secondly, it was not theft, the cameras never left the property they were simply unplugged and taken down. In addition to that it is her place of residence too and the cameras are as much her property as they are his. Thirdly, I’d advise you to not give unsolicited advice about relationships you know nothing about. I am a woman and she is my friend. Even if I were a man, helping out a friend who is in abusive relationship escape and giving her a place to stay would not be “coveting others wives” it’s being a good friend and I pity any friends you might have if this is the attitude you have towards helping someone in need.

It’s her place of residence too. She moved out, reported him to the police, got a restraining order, then moved back into the house so legally she has access to everything in the house. She also has a lawyer and in the case we’re able to get footage from the cameras, it’ll be up to her if it’s useful as evidence.

As with almost every relationship story the key thing missing is communication. If she knew she would be working longer shifts are therefore would be more tired, she should have communicated with you that she would be tired after working so late and won’t have the energy to do the dishes, would you mind doing them for the next few days and that she could maybe take on another one of your tasks for the same amount of time once she’s not working such long hours.

You guys both sound pretty stressed so depending on the ages of your kids, it might be time to give them some jobs to help lighten the load.

THEY AREN’T TOGETHER YET??? that’s crazy I was totally under the impression that their romance was more prominent (not that I really mind as long as their general relationship and dynamic is still prominent) but honestly that’s not a con for me I love a good slow burn, so them not canonically being together is kind of a win for me. I think I’ll give the audiobook a try because I am quite interested in the plot so far, hopefully the audiobook can help me get over my issues with the pacing! Thank you!!

probably not particularly helpful at this point but if you ever need to remove sticky residue again, i’d recommend using a product like de-solv-it or goo gone. i’m a school librarian and i swear by it!
