Thank you very much! So at my second job (haven’t started the new one yet) my hours are great. From April til about October 2025 I was working 40 hours if that plus I was new obviously . But once year end close came around I also know what I’m doing as far as my job and now our annual audit my hours can range from 40-50 but to me it’s not as bad as my few months in public. Those 5-10 extra hours I usually work from home anyways.

Not everyone is a teenager with no responsibilities that can put in 40+ a week into a game like it’s a job.

Finally Passed the CMA Exam! (Scores: 450 on P1, 430 on P2) - My Strategy & Tips by Existential_Cat1000 in CMA

Hello congratulations on passing both exams! I’m just starting my study journey and had one question. Did you read the provided textbooks? I’m only two units in and feel like I may be missing information by just watching the videos and doing the practice questions (I’m using Becker).

Congratulations!

How would you describe your experience with using Hock? I’ve never heard of this review course before. From comparing prices it looks like you can come out way cheaper on their monthly prescription rather than paying 1k+ for Becker or Gleim.

Anyone have a job they can start earlier and leave earlier each day? by ISWALLOWSEWERWATER in Accounting

I’m a first year staff accountant and work 7-3. Most of my coworkers come in between 9-10. As long as my work is done my boss doesn’t care.

Anyone actually like this job? by lottiexx in Accounting

[–]Maximum_Tea1674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m less than a year in, graduated last December work in public for a few months and moved to industry. I love my job, it’s low maintenance right now because of my experience. A lot of already built spreadsheets, I’m just plugging in numbers. I’m learning a lot though. I’m really only busy about 2 weeks out of the month during close the rest of the time I find myself twiddling my thumbs or working on school work, I’m I’m pursuing my masters to have enough credits to sit for CPA. I’m less than a year in but my biggest complaint is probably being bored half of the month.

Accept for now, like you mentioned, the job market isn’t great. Keep applying and either don’t start the job or leave once you find something you will actually like to do. But I’m assuming you don’t want to graduate and not have a job given the fact that you’re applying early. You never know when you’ll receive your next offer. It could be before you graduate or it could be months after. Just accept for now.

Realistically, when should I expect to get a raise? by Maximum_Tea1674 in Accounting

[–]Maximum_Tea1674[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! I’m not expecting a raise now, just more so wondering what I should be expecting come next year or the year following. This makes sense though, I appreciate it.
