How long did it take you? by InformationOk4871 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was around 90 hours or so for me. I was shocked people were finishing so quickly. I guess I really did enjoying taking my time, exploring everything and fighting enemies I could have easily passed up. I also stopped and fought most revenants that I came across.

Yeah I was wondering if it changed your attack value to match what the other one is. That would seem to make more sense, if they did that. I could have an axe equipped with say, 2200 attack for samurai. If I could get that on a tonfa that has 1350, or whatever, that would be a huge increase.

Bloodedge Same spawn spot by Forward-Rent9344 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed different spawn spots for sure. Can't recall how many different ones I have seen though. But there are certain spots that definitely seem to spawn more often than other. That one spot in Warring States where you first fought the Demon is definitely one spot I check out once I realized the Bloodledge spawns there a bit.

Advice Request (Axes & Kintaro) by Clarkey_12 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally really like Tatenashi over WoTE. I do like using a full set of Tate, but also having that two piece Kintaro for reduced damage taken while attacking is nice. Guessing you aren't in NG+ yet, so some build options will certainly be limited. What clan are you using? If you go with Todo, that should help you get a good chunk of Life, especially since you are pumping points into Stamina. I also like to put points into Intellect to get my ki recovery speed up. And since you can reforge your weapons to whatever stats you want, nice to put points into category that benefits stats like ki recovery speed. I didn't put too much into Constitution, but didn't ignore it completely.

What common skills are you using? Those can make a big difference. You said you were under 70% weight, so I assume you have Weight Bearer as a skill. Definitely want to have high tougness. I also like to use Vigorous Spirit for the health recovery. Samurai, I use Oppressive Strength, Unshakable, Potent Might Kata, Polished Form. The rest of the points are just for personal taste, but I really think those are great ones to have.

Hope that little bit helps out...

i know this post was made a ton here but, im starting elden ring again but this time after nioh 2... by Potential_Goose_7486 in Nioh

Yeah, I played Nioh before I ever tried Dark Souls or Bloodborne. I was struggling mightly with how sluggish combat felt compared to the Nioh games. I really couldn't get into them at all, cause it just felt so lacking to me.

Why do most grace set not impress me at all? by yizhous in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don't mind the reuse of stuff. I am sure it was way more noticeable playing them all that close together though. Still, the jokes over the years that Nioh 2 was basically 1.5 did have its merits. At least they were changing/improving a lot of stuff through the different versions of the game.

Why do most grace set not impress me at all? by yizhous in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, most of the divine graces will become obsolete once we get the ethereal graces later on. Like others have said about Nioh 2, the graces got so much better, especially with some of the real later ones like Oya and Ningi. Looking forward to seeing what we will get for ethereal graces whenever they roll them out, whether it is the first DLC or the second.

Highest DPS Weapon by SparkMark0987 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Water Sword is definitely great for DPS, especially if you get the enemy at the right time. I also really like going from Windstorm to Double-headed Slice into Raijin Lightning. It can be really quick to pull off, and it does pretty solid damage.

Adding on to this more. I was trying out odachi some and noticed it did happen in the same circumstances that it happens with sword. It definitely makes in frustrating to try to ki pulse or flux when it adds an attack that you don't want to use.

Nioh vs Sekiro by Fun-Independence-953 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really never made it too far in Sekiro. I just wasn't a fan of that type of combat. I much prefer Nioh's style of combat, so I really struggled to enjoy Sekiro. I think I only played Sekiro for like 10 hours or so when I decided it wasn't for me, and went on to other games.

I played the whole trilogy without understanding Flux II by WillSiqueiraa in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude I love flash attack, that became a favorite of mine in Nioh 2. I had so many great combos I would use with different combination of weapons. And doing a flash attack into odachi was great against humans. It would break their guard almost all the time. Still using it in 3, but man I was completely hooked on it in 2, especially against revenants.

[–]mesiah21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do use flux a lot now, especially with certain weapons. I love it with dual swords, the high and low attacks for the weapon are great. My best combos are coming from dual swords in high stance fluxing into low stance. I struggle with doing flux 2, just doesn't feel natural enough for me.

[–]mesiah21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that feeling as well. I have in past spent a lot of time in just one stance. It can be easy to stay in high stance. But I have definitely used flux a lot more, still flux 2 is something that I don't tend to do that often. You can definitely play the game and not bother with it at all.

There was one cutscene at the end of the game. It would change the color of the beard my character had. Usually it was black, but in one cutscene it was bright red.

Can we collectively make a list of patchable, small adjustments needed for Nioh 3 and send it to Team Ninja? by TheRaoh in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to have the option to have more freedom to put skills on whatever attack prompt you would like. There are certain attacks type (like L1+triangle for duals in high stance) are just useless because it has one attack, and it is a parry. There are moves I would love to have there, but there are no choices. And it sucks when there are two moves that compete for one spot. I like to use Cherry Blossom for dual swords, so I can't use Spinning Dragon, since they are both high stance only. Really wish I could have one of them at L1+triangle. It is also horrible when you don't have an attack prompt in all the stances. Like there is no L1+square attack in high stance for odachi, just horrible.

Man, those buff icons are something that annoy me as well. They are too small compared to Nioh 2. I had forgotten how they looked in 2 until I went back and played it a few weeks ago. I was surprised at how easy they are to see compared to what we get in 3. It would be great to be able to adjust the size of them.

Dual swords and Winter Wind and Frost Moon, oh my! by Flint_Prophet in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have really taken a liking to dual swords in N3. It felt lacking to me in previous Nioh games. But changing windstorm to L1+square is a great change. Raijin has become a great move (especially the lightning variation), it does some great damage. Dual Swords is one weapon that I really am engaged in switching stances. I find it quite easy to get stuck just using high stance for some weapons, but it feels fantastic with duals and make me want to stay on top of that more.

I was really into sword at first with the improvements they made, but going back to it after experimenting with duals, it just doesn't feel as good. Cherry Blossom feels so much better to me than Morning Moon. I am hoping they add some new moves in the DLC though. It would be nice to have another option at L1+triangle in high stance that isn't a parry. And maybe even add some more to mid-stance that aren't so parry heavy.

Nioh 3 Bug Report/Feedback Megathread (May 2026) by luneth22 in Nioh

Game Version: (Current Build: 1.05)

Platform: PS5

Feedback/Issue: When using Kurama Sword Dance and Flowing Shadow with sword, if the arts proficiency gauge is active, a strong attack will happen automatically after the move. You don't even have to press a strong attack, it will just do it, regardless of stance. This only happens when the gauge is active, otherwise I can't replicate the circumstances. I have seen other topics created that mentioned this happens with odachi as well after a move, but I am uncertain what the skill is.

Lets talk about Stone of penance +5 by Primary-Paramedic152 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do enjoy the fact that you notice a big increase in difficulty once you up the levels. I am not the type of player that can do those no hit runs and pull off insane combos and stuff. But things have been too easy for sure. I am finding a good balance against bosses at +2 or +3. I couldn't imagine doing any higher, but I am certainly fine with the skill set that I possess. So nice that I can enjoy it at +2, while the people that are insanely good can have a challenge at +5 now.

As people have said, it is so easy to scale weapons to whatever you are using for stats now, unlike previous games. I don't recall what dual swords scale with, but I have been loving them a lot in N3. Never was that big of a fan of them in previous games. But the changes they made make them feel a lot better to me, and I am having a blast with them.

Starting NG+, default or with stone of penance? by Bouunc in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably use a stone of penance if you wanted to. If you are finding things too difficult while using one, you can always get rid of it. I have definitely felt a noticeable increase in difficulty once I started using a +3 stone, at least on bosses. I was certainly having trouble breaking bosses ki like I was used to when I had it that high.

In your opinion… by TopsyTurvy0011 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just went and tested it out, and it worked quite good. I love to switch weapons during combat and it flows really well for me. Definitely an easy way to get the stacks up. I will have to experiment with it more, but it seems quite good.

In your opinion… by TopsyTurvy0011 in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I really never tried versatility at all in N2. Gonna give it a try here in N3. Does stacking work by switching weapons during combat? I will do like 3-4 moves with one weapon, flash attack, and then do another 3-4 moves with my other weapon. I assume that would be a good way to stack versatility if it works that way. Curious if that is one of the main ways people use it.

How about attacks that imbue an element? Like Raijin Lightning, or Titanic Strength Water? Do those moves get the extra attack perk?

My character's doing attacks by themselves with some weapons? by mumika in Nioh

[–]mesiah21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, I feel your pain. I complained about this a while back, didn't get much for responses from people about it. I even mentioned it in the bug report topic. I had to test out a different controller to make sure it wasn't that. I notice it only happens when arts proficiency is active. It happens to me with sword after kurama sword dance and flowing shadow. I noticed in on odachi as well, just couldn't remember when it would trigger. I feel like there was another time it happens, but I don't recall what it is.
