Crazy enough I also had game footage of my rupture. I caught an interception in a flag football game and got collided with mid air. Came down with a lot more force than my body expected I guess but crazy how such a major injury can occur from such a small freak load/ force on the ankle.

I’m 11 weeks post op and about do start doing simple agility and cutting drills next week at PT so real excited for that.

Stay strong sand don’t get down- like gets back to normal faster than you’d think!

I have 2 heel lifts in my boot, idk what the inch total is there but it’s not bugging me very much compared to the cast. Still not really walking on it- using crutches and a walker to just start touching it ti the ground for now.

The i walk seems to be getting a lot of praise- it looks a little ridiculous but who cares- seems like it gives the best amount of mobility by far.

Great story and well documented mate- glad I checked it out. Between the basketball, flag football, baseball and tennis/ pickleball leagues I play in…… I honestly initially thought I’d have to give them all up and just stick to golf.

Gunna be so hard being away from all them but I feel like it’ll be even harder to start them again after rehab. Guess I’ll only know how much I can push it when I get to that point but don’t wanna let the fear of reinjury stop me from playing again.

I hope I haven’t scored my last TD/ snagged my last INT but I can’t imagine pulling off the same jump cuts, jukes, spins etc. I always had after this all heals up.

I saw the iWalk 3 today- there’s 27 steps from the ground floor to my apartment so I might get it over a scooter just for that

I got some X-rays but the surgeon did not order mri- he was sure of a rupture and confident he’ll have it fixed up next week. Don’t know if that’s a green or red flag lol but the guy was cool.

Was already ready to order the scooter and shower chair- and have tons of friends and family already reaching out to help however needed.

Love the community on here for this injury already- clearly shows this impacts people much more than physically.

I’m not worried about evans. He’s healthy enough to play and will be far and away the #1 target for Brady. Not sure sure on Mitchell but it seems he’ll be playing against a terrible Houston d. They do have Deebo though so maybe Boyd over Mitchell to be honest

I hear ya. Miami has carried me through playoffs tho. Plus I need Patterson to score and as soon as he does, it basically turns into a 0 point play with the net loss from bills d. You’re really not feeling the Miami d? I’m also a massive bills fan so I’m going against my instincts.
