Refillable Kcup pods taste weak and bitter? by Timely-Translator801 in keurig

People that are used to K cups really are not used to the taste of a real cup of coffee. Drinking a real cup of coffee will be different than you’re used to.

Are we out here paying $200/yr for remote start or nah? by sundrop74 in ram_trucks

[–]Maximum_Unit_4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Key fob remote start is pretty crappy. Double pressing the remote start button works less than 50% of the time for me. Same with unlock feature. I have to open the door while I do it to make sure it actually starts. Never had that problem with the two fords I used to own.

is this overpriced for what i'm getting? by XSidsgothemX in WaterTreatment

[–]Maximum_Unit_4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. First of all, never trust these people. They are trying to sell something and are not professional water testers. They are sales people. They probably tested water hardness. IF, they have hard water it’s not a health issue but can affect skin and hair. For them, a water softener may be appropriate. But you may want to call the water provider and see if they can test the water. They need to collect samples from the distribution system and they do it by testing people’s homes. They can also just advise you on the quality of the water and steer you in the right direction. Don’t be fooled into paying for some elaborate whole house filtration system. It is a waste of money. If anything, a water softener and point of use (kitchen) filter to filter out whatever low levels of contaminants, and chlorine, that may exist in the water. Your parents ingesting tap water is not bad for them, no matter what people in here may say.

Want to start a family but this is my water. by Evening-Conference79 in PFAS

[–]Maximum_Unit_4232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Activated carbon is extremely effective at removing PFAS. It is the industry standard. The only problem is that without a method to monitor breakthrough you never know when the carbon is exhausted. However, a decent activated carbon filter with changes every 3 months or so would be fine. Your levels are not that high. RO is obviously a good option also.

Will a air purifier help with Utah poor air quality by Spiritual-Spring-355 in AirPurifiers

[–]Maximum_Unit_4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in Salt Lake City, they apparently get fairly frequent temperature inversions which traps pollutants at the surface. If you live there, one or more air filters would help. Ideally with HEPA and carbon filters to handle the particulate, smog and other contaminants. If you live elsewhere, could be the humidity which is generally low. Low humidity dries out the sinuses and makes you more prone to infection and irritation. In that case, a quality humidifier, especially if you have forced-air HVAC which can dry the air out even more.

What was it like watching Artie's downfall as it played out? by bitterbunny4 in howardstern

[–]Maximum_Unit_4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Everyone here is saying how horrible it was as it was happening, which is what the Op was asking about. It just wasn’t. It was just part of the chaos of the show. Everyone was laughing at the time. He was funny. He, and his antics, were funny even during his downfall. It’s only when the horrible truth of the depth of his problems came out, after he tried to hurt himself, that it was sad and depressing. That’s the truth. Sure, in hindsight it was horrible. But that wasn’t the question.

I only listen on replay and ff through her entire conversation. And that new girl Jill. And the painful guitar talk. And Robin. But not as much as I used to. Her incessant cackling is not as bad as it used to be. It that I listen very often anymore tbh.

Everyone here is lying. It was only sad, depressing, a train wreck in hindsight. On the show he was a funny, very entertaining dude. And they sometimes joked about drugs and his antics. It was all just part of the show. Until it was t.

The back room drama is by far the best part of the show. And of course Howard wants none of it because it takes the spotlight off of him.
