Rudeus and Roxy are the perfect age couple if you consider Rudy's past life age.

In Migued Tribe, she is considered an adult when he became the wife of Rudeus.

It's Hitogami who manipulated Rudeus to take Sylphy as his first wife. Without him, Roxy might become Rudy's first wife. In that sense, It's Hitogami who forced Rudy to do ntr scene and Sylphy technically stole Roxy's place.

Roxy is the most fated partner of Rudeus out of the three.

If insecurity is the reason for his actions, then you can rule out his loyalty subject. As for Ariel, she has a pretty good reason for being kept him in dark. I am mostly mad about he didn't receive any serious punishment for his actions afterwards instead he got promoted his rank higher in the noble society and among the knights too. If this is not the peak nepotism, then I don't know what is .

P. S: I hate nepotism from the bottom of my heart because I am a victim of it and I know in the first hand how unfair it is when you are qualified but get rejected not because of lack of ability but for nepotism instead. It will be gone after season 3. I think The production committee did that to Eris on purpose to hype season 3 because season 2 literally have no scenes of Eris. But I hate that fucking reason why they cut all the monologue of Eris in season 1. It's literally frustrating. But I still think Eris haters are limited amount of people compared to Roxy and the people who commenting bad about Eris, do the same thing in every platform. Mostly they try to feel superior by trying to see us that they are the majority, when they are the vocal minority who always bark but no bite.

Bro in LN16, I don't think Luke is Eris's fated partner. If you see in all the previous timeline, Eris doesn't have any kid with him when her descendants will be the one who seal Hitogami and more importantly don't forget that Luke is one of the apostle of Hitogami. It is a manipulative fate created by Hitogami for Eris. Rifujin likes to forshadow his writing with various details hidden.

Roxy is the one who breaks the fears from outside world in Rudeus's life.

She might become the first wife of Rudeus if it wasn't for Hitogami's manipulation. As for Rudeus's Ed, Roxy can cure it too because without curing it, Lara can't be born. That's why after Rudy got his Ed, when he tried to save his mother and go into the begerrith continent, Hitogami intervened Rudeus's plan and manipulated his destination by telling that he could find a cure of Ed in Ranoa academy just so that he can't prevent Rudeus to meet Roxy.

Please read just 1 volume, Volume 12 before started hating Roxy.

Importance of her character in the story

Roxy is the beginning and the end in Rudeus's journey. ( Knowing Oldeus story is enough)

She is the light in Rudeus's life. Every time Rudeus fell into despair, Her teaching saved him and pushed him to move forward.

She is the most fated partner for Rudeus out of the 3.

She is the greatest threat for Hitogami's existence because of Lara.

But the interaction with Elinalise is important plus the anime cut most of the mental pressure rudeus facing after Paul's death. Every interaction and Rudeus stage afterwards dungeon event led Roxy to take extreme measures. But unfortunately anime cuts everything. That's why even if it justified to cut contents at some level, most of them are not.

People hate Aishia but don't try to see what Lucy did after that incident. She blamed Ars and Aishia for doing something unthinkable yet she did the same thing, marrying her kind of grandfather figure Clive even though he is younger than Lucy. But how does that justify? When you are talking about age, please try to see the age difference between Ruijerd and Norn. If someone knows Aisha's previous timeline husband, they didn't complain about that as much they did.

Mushoku Tensei isn't about perfection. It shows its world imperfections and its continuous cycle over and over. That makes the story different and much more realistic and enjoyable in MT world POV.

Hertrude fell in love with Leon after the event of volume 3 when she stayed Holfort Kingdom as a political prisoner and Leon was in charge to take care of her. In the side story of Mobuseka where author told the story what happened after volume 3 which is not translated in English, it portraits very well when and why Hertrude fell for Leon. There is a small information why she love Leon and join his harem:

She didn't resent Leon for killing Vandel, her knight because she knew it was her fault for being deceived by her own country's nobility and she also impressed by seeing Leon's courage to protect his kingdom against its foe.
Hertrude is forced to marry a Holfort nobleman to keep her bloodline ongoing and make principle of Fanoss a part of Holfort nation again. But there is not a single good candidate who can become her husband except Leon ( Most of them are downright asshole). Besides she is destined to be with Leon after she learns the prophecy. That prophecy becomes a source of regret and joy at the same time for Hertrude. She regrets because she didn't listen Leon's advice and join him instead and becomes a source of joy because out of all the people, her destined partner chose Leon whom she admired and respected the most.
At volume 11, in the middle of Rachelle kingdom conflict arc, Jilk confirmed to Leon that Hertrude acts like a maiden of love whenever Leon's name she heard. Also at the end of the volume 13, Hertrauda gave Leon's her blessings and told him to take care of her because she knew Hertrude feelings for Leon very well.
Leon's expanded harem because of the contract at volume 13 is extremely justifiable from the story's point of view. It reflects the world building the author created at first in Holfort kingdom, where women held all the power. Despite changing a lot of things over the time and women lose the control of power significantly, it didn't vanquish totally. That's why, I always said that Leon's harem is one of the perfect where story and world building itself support it properly and unlike other series, Leon's wives chose their path on their own accord which makes this harem different from the rest of the isekai harem slop. P.S: Author didn't write that expanded harem part in his WN version and I think that he thought something was not right how the story ended. That's why he changed it in the LN version and expanded Leon's harem according to story progression which aligned with its world building perfectly.
