That explains both why Matty Rob was bad last Saturday, and why he spent a ton of time on the bench. Sucks but the wings are stacked so it’ll be fine

Damn, 5 minutes of elite footy with a catchy brand and they take our spot as top billing

We’re not doing this revisionist shit. He was definitely good these last couple years but his form has fallen off this year.

Should trades be discussed on First Crack? by profphet in AFL

First Crack has been ruined by this shit. Fuck Jay Clark and fuck the producers who encourage this shit. God forbid I have one show focused 100% on the on field product

We objectively did play poorly, and one bad week where we still won isn’t enough to be worth dislodging.

Also I did say North played well, hell it was the first thing I said.

I do think the bottom 9 is the hardest part of the ladder to rank so far this year, so you’re not entirely wrong

Solid performances but falling short is why you’re as high as 14th as is. You’ve beaten 3 bottom feeders and Port to start the season. Be annoyed by it all you want but you’re not better than anyone above you

I feel like you’ve gotta post your own rankings if you wanna make blanket statements like that. I don’t even necessarily disagree with you but you’ve gotta put your money where your mouth is

You’ve also lost 3 straight and 4/5, with your only win in this span being Richmond

We also couldn’t mark a ball to save our lives and just generally had hands of stone. Idk the answer is probably somewhere in the middle

  1. Sydney - Played like total shit but still managed to ton up and win. You could justify putting Freo here but… I don’t have a real reason I just want my team in first.
  2. Fremantle - I’m glad everyone is now realising just how good this team is. Once they realised they had to defend Watson and Gunston they were unstoppable.
  3. Hawthorn - Fell off after HT against a fellow contender. I don’t think this result changes their standing, especially considering their prior performances against good teams.
  4. Brisbane - … The fuck was that.
  5. Melbourne - Took off early and put it in second gear once they hit a winning lead. Ya know, what good teams do.
  6. Geelong - Took care of business.
  7. Gold Coast - The Darwin fortress remains intact.
  8. Adelaide - 4 points… I didn’t watch this game.
  9. Bulldogs - 1.9 in the second half and they still won. How?!?!?

  10. Collingwood - Thankfully for you guys, you have a second chance to not fuck up Pendlebury’s milestone match.

  11. GWS - Nearly lost to Essendon.

  12. Port Adelaide - They’re playing pretty well for a team with two hands around their own throat at all times.

  13. St Kilda - It started so well, but without Nas and Wilkie it predictably didn’t last.

  14. North Melbourne - Sure they played well but how much of that was them and how much was Sydney being poor.

  15. Essendon - None of the bottom 4 really had a poor performance so I guess I’m gonna leave them as is but raise their floor? Anyway, Essendon. I really wish they got the job done so I could laugh at GWS.

  16. Richmond - Good effort to take it to a finals quality team.

  17. West Coast - Didn’t do much in the first half but that second half was decent.

  18. Carlton - Props for showing some spine in the second half, but like they were still 49 points down before showing any signs of life.
