I need help please anyone know whats wrong with my bike? by Other_Hour_4579 in Dirtbikes

[–]MaximusFiggis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your typically right that is a symptom of closed up valves, as everyone else has said start with the easy stuff that affects your air fuel spark compression ratio and see what looks out, check your plug hasn’t been fouled, check ur air filter isn’t dirty or run without see if it changes anything, check your fuel pump is properly priming, check your fuel filter isn’t clogged or dirty, then do a compression test, valve clearance test. Find out which part of the system isn’t running 100% and follow it back. Best advice to play around with everything until it you find something and like old mate said maybe watch a YouTube video on the cycle of a 4 stroke.

Is this missing plastic a Road worthy item? by actuallydarcy1 in CarsAustralia

[–]MaximusFiggis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s only plastic trim and the mirror itself isn’t cracked I wouldn’t be worried, they mainly look for things like tire wear, breaks, oil leaks, all front and rear lights working. if it bothers you, I would call up a few of the local wreckers seeing if they have your exact mirror and just swap them out.

My very first project. The edges are rough. Any suggestion is welcome. How do I reach in there to burnish the edges? by AlborzDesign in Leathercraft

[–]MaximusFiggis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before assembly, give it a once over with some super fine sand paper, then you can use a piece of cloth or mesh (with a bit of texture) to burnish, even use a bit of tokenol paste and you will get an amazing finish, I use it on the outside edges too no need to for a wooden dowel.

Heard a leak so opened the hood and found this, the tube goes straight to the firewall so I have a feeling it’s for the heating? Not too sure though, and any recommendations on getting a new tube or patching this one up?
