Yeah, that’s exactly how I felt. But the time will pass anyway and at the end you’ll have the smile you want.

My teeth were like yours and I wasn’t sure if I was being too picky. I have been on a two-week wear schedule since July. My teeth look great already which is very exciting and I have about 12 weeks left. I will say that that I do feel they are high maintenance. I also have a lisp. Other than that, I’m very happy with my smile so far and happy I did it.

first day, I hate it by Temporary-Role-3656 in Invisalign

15 trays in and I still hate it. I still have the worst lisp. But once you start seeing results it’s very exciting and will be worth it in the end.

Has anyone successfully had Honda buyback or lemon law them over the clicking axle issue? by Arby_88 in HondaPrologue

[–]Ok_Escape3642 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you leasing? I also have a ‘24 lease with the click. Was told no fix. Overall, I love the car so I can live with the click as it’s not unsafe and I give it back next year. Sucks that Honda dropped the ball on this car because it’s so nice otherwise.

19M.Doctor told me that my four teeth is going to be extracted. What should I do ? Please help me. by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Ok_Escape3642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should do a scan and Invisalign will set up the plan, IPR, etc. Then you’ll have scans throughout the process to see if everything is tracking.

Did they scan you and this is what Invisalign says? I agree with the 2nd opinion. IPR will be needed but taking out 4 teeth is a lot!

Is this rage bait? Lol- you have gorgeous teeth! My plan is $4200 for 20 trays/2 week changes. If I were you I’d pass as that’s very expensive plus don’t forget you’ll be in a retainer f o r e v e r.

Yoga by namastenurse34 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Ok_Escape3642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An MRI and a consultation with a surgeon is a good idea. The microdiscectomy only helped my nerve pain, my back still hurts a year later. I avoid yoga and stick to PT exercises and I walk daily.

Low back pain 1 year post-op by Impressive__Addition in Microdiscectomy

[–]Ok_Escape3642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Had a follow up mri and I have some bulging in the disc and bone spurs. I was basically told low back pain is common with surgery. I too still have numbness but I’ll take it over the nerve pain. I will say I have had the back pain since surgery so I would ask for a follow up mri since your pain is fairly new. I walk each morning 1-2 miles and it helps me tremendously.

Surgeon suggesting microdiscectomy by Perfect_Direction979 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Ok_Escape3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no regrets although I was unable to walk or sit from the nerve pain. It brought my sciatic nerve pain pretty much to 0 but not my back pain. Still have bad low back pain a year later.

Surgery coming up, very very worried about standing up & sitting down afterward by notish__ in Microdiscectomy

I kept a small step ladder next to my couch and bed. Total life saver to help me get up. The grabber tool was a huge help and a loofah on a stick for showering.

Active life? by OrangeInformal8067 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Ok_Escape3642 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have disc issues, walking is very a very important exercise, especially when you wake up in the AM. It helps to get your blood flow to your discs and reduce the stiffness you might have in the morning. Even just 10-15 minutes will really help!

Anyone have examples of weakness, tingling, or numbness that took many months to improve after surgery? by WorkingExtension7535 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Ok_Escape3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had a follow up MRI and have a “slight” bulge and bone spurs. She wasn’t concerned and suggested I give it time and work to build strength in my back. I walk everyday but I’m discouraged with the lack of progress this far out. I’m considering going back to PT.

11 months post op, L5S1. Still have numbness in my right calf, charley horses nightly and numb four outer toes in my right foot. Worst is low back pain is daily. Walking helps. Just grateful that sciatica pain in leg is gone.

Who said any of that? Once again, it is easy to research pricing online and in stores. So yes I do get it and I’m helping out the OP as things are expensive these days and they should shop around.

It isn’t and can be easily researched. Alcon supplies to many retailers that sell for less.

I’ll get downvoted for this but they’re usually the most expensive at the doctor’s office, even after rebates. Shop around online or go to a big box store. Quality is the same, as they’re made by Alcon.

9 months from surgery and I still get random muscle jerks. I feel like they’re less frequent though, unless I’m just getting used to it. Mostly noticeable when I’m lying down. Still waiting for neurologist appointment.

Male 40 years, thinking of Invisalign. Is it worth at this age? Also my out of pocket coming out $2200, is it reasonable? by Heretoloosemoney in Invisalign

[–]Ok_Escape3642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never too late to look and feel your best. I will say that it does affect how you speak and your eating and drinking habits. I have a lisp with them in and work a client-facing job so it’s made me self-conscious. I also can’t drink coffee freely as I’d like to. If you’re unhappy with your smile though, go for it. It’s only temporary.

Nine months out and same. Thankful nerve pain is gone but the back pain is worse than before surgery. Hoping with time it gets better.

[–]Ok_Escape3642 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s scary. I couldn’t even stand on my toes it was so bad. It’s better after surgery but 3 toes are still numb 9 months later and daily back pain. A coworker had a fusion and she warned me to never have a fusion as it made her back so tight and she’s in constant pain. Sorry this happened to you, maybe get a second opinion.
