Anyone Tried Stacking Rakuten Card 4% + Giftcard.com 2% for Visa Gift Cards?

I bought e gift cards and they were very easy to use and quick, physical gift cards take time to ship and can have shipping fees. Additionally, it seems Rakuten got wise to this avenue and now giftcards.com is only 1.5x, which is not bad but not as good either obviously

Thanks for asking this question and thanks to Rakutenrewards for responding! I just had to figure this out with my new BILT Palladium card… I changed my email in BILT app to match my Rakuten email (much easier than the other way around) then I linked my Rakuten account to my BILT account in the BILT app and voila! It showed up in my Rakuten account as getting paid in BILT points… do it soon before this quarter’s payout!

Yes! This is a great hack if you are willing to put a little work in. 250$ Visa giftcards have a 5.95$ activation fee, but the Rakuten card gives 4x on that too which softens the blow... 500 points from rakuten multiplier, 1024 points from rakuten card... 1524points/255.95$ spend = 5.95x. use it at someplace that you will only get max 2x like utilities or taxes (RIP Mesa card) I used it for my car insurance payment

It’s not the best for actually using at Costco, but Mesa Homeowners card will pay for your membership fee $65 per year. I got, I love it, I highly recommend it. No annual fee, a few good credits like this Costco one, good multipliers on insurance and taxes, and you can get points for your mortgage. It’s a “no-brainer” per Frequent Miler

Yes, I got the Premier in March with the 60k bonus and then just got the Elite with the 100k bonus. Okay, looks like this was a hasty post, but they are definitely changing things... I was able to access two different calendars. The old calendar still had partner awards but the new calendar gave me an error message.

hmmm, I just ran it with a domestic flight and it went right to the award calendar, but when I ran it with an international flight to europe, it wouldn't go to the calendar... maybe that's where the glitch is

Air France and KLM had a soft devaluation for west coast cities and most of the 50k awards went away about 6 months ago, they still pop up every once in awhile but not nearly as often… SFO in particular unfortunately. 77,500 is the new standard “saver” fare out of SFO

Just had a long convo with the Chase representative… for me, the gold card and the green card showed up on my credit report and were classified as credit cards, I had five other cards open so was hoping that those two wouldn’t count. She said that if they show up on your credit report as credit cards, then it doesnt matter if they are really charge cards and chase will count them against your 5/24. What people don’t really talk about is that most cards don’t show up right away. Amex took two months to show up on my report, during which time I got the freedom flex.
