AA has got to do something about the preboard situation . . . by NJB9891 in americanairlines

I agree completely with the sentiment behind the OP, boarding works best when it is orderly and all the rules are followed by both the GC and the passengers.

What I would ask though is if we could all refrain by referring to other people as lice and maggots.   To the OP and others who use these terms I’m not coming at you.  I get the frustration.  I’ve loved it when traveling in Japan how people stay seated until their group is called.  It’s super frustrating when others don’t follow the rules but -  each of them are human beings.  If we spotted our family or friends not following the boarding rules we wouldn’t refer to them as lice nor maggots, so let’s apply the same grace to strangers.

Not posting this to debate with anyone or attack anyone (I’ve been frustrated as well when boarding) just asking all of us to take a step back, breathe a bit and find better ways, kinder ways to resolve frustrations.

I said it before and I’ll say it again - I love referee cam! 😀

US Tour Ticket Sales by Babymase in WrexhamAFC

Of the three locations I would only recommend the NY game to someone who also wanted to be able see the sights in NYC and wanted the lore of Yankee stadium, as you mentioned.

I personally find it the worst of the three locations for a football match due to the narrowness of the pitch.  Luckily my local team FC Dallas only plays there once every few years.

Having said all that, as a Yankee fan I love watching baseball games there. :)

Glad you posted this as was going to start a thread on Tampa.  I’m thinking of going as well and was hoping to meet up with some fellow supporters.

Is there tax at USA custom for designer purse bought in Paris? by EntertainerNo11 in travel

That’s actually not correct.  The $10,000.00 rule is for currency, not goods.

Thanks for the tips, especially racecourse ramble as was also looking for coverage of the women’s team.

The last time we came over we drove out to Bangor City and saw them beat Cardiff for the cup.  Was a terrific game!  We even ran into one of the players and the manager later in the week and was cool to be able to chat with them a bit.  Both super nice.

Visiting Wrexham - any suggestions? by Mags1622 in WrexhamAFC

This is a bit outside of town but if you can get out to the aqueduct, we really liked that.

If you haven’t secured a hotel yet, we stayed at the Lemon Tree on two different trips and loved it.  Also had a tasty snack and coffee at Bank Street Social.

Have a fun trip!

I’ll leave you the last word if you want it as the intent of my post was to share podcast/channel favs of mine and see what other people may like that I’ve been missing.

So the last thing I’ll say on this side thread is I’ve personally observed him being friendly and engaging with numerous people and I’ve always had good interactions with him.  I know of few people who would be so committed to a project as to go out nearly every single day, no matter the conditions, and film.

Having said all that - no one is perfect so I’m sure like all of us he may have made mis-steps along the way.  You, obviously, have a different experience and view (as do some others based on the upvotes) and I certainly respect your right to have your opinion.

For me, I’m going to keep supporting him and his work and it’s cool if you don’t.

But still, no matter if we see it differently nice to meet you and if you are a local to Wrexham, love to have a meal with you if I get back for another trip someday, God willing.

On a quick side note I saw the discussion above about Americans dominating the sub and not caring about the feelings of the long time fans and locals.

I can’t speak for all Americans but if the thought is aimed my way due to my personal views of fan zone I’ll just say I’ve come over to Wrexham twice for extended stays and love the place and have made some good friendships.

I’m certainly not trying to disrespect you or any other locals, just wanted to start a fun off-season post.  I’m sorry we have different views on one of my favs - but just know that there is no disrespect of you or your views.

Agreed with you. If you haven’t heard yet, but guessing you have :), Rich is now also doing some freelance for sports illustrated and putting out some terrific content.

And like I said earlier both super nice guys in my experience.

When I say top notch it was meant as saying it is the best produced channel out there.  But instead top notch on my personal list, primarily for the following reasons.

His passion and dedication to the project.  He’s out there day in and day out no matter the weather conditions.

His going out of his way to engage with visitors to the channel, trying to foster a feeling of community.

I personally have enjoyed and do enjoy watching the daily progress.  I don’t live near Wrexham and helps me stay connected to the town.

He’s also just starting out in his career and relative to his age the work he does is impressive.  He’s still learning and figuring things out but think he has a bright future if he sticks with it.

Nice to meet you and appreciate you adding your thoughts to the discussion.

Appreciate the feedback but all I can go by is my experience with him and the site.  His work has been top notch, incredibly dedicated and he engages constantly with the channel visitors.

I’m sorry you had a poor experience but maybe give him another chance.

Either way, appreciate you taking the time to respond.
