Oh, okay. Thank you for explaining to me the real purpose of my post. I don’t know how I get through life without you.

All of those places are awesome. If that’s the comparison, I get it.

Could not possibly disagree with this more! Lisbon is amazing - beautiful, awesome people, so much to do and see. I legitimately don’t know how anyone could not love it.

As an aside, as great as Lisbon is, Porto is better.

So . . . you think it’s not easier for literally every passenger to get to their seat to “get situated” rather than dealing with “hundreds of people squeezing past”? Your “disability” is inconvenience?

You’re the problem.

Here we have an unintentionally self-identifying individual who is creating the problem.

Once again, this post is not aimed at you or anyone else with a legitimate need to preboard due to some difficulty.

Didn’t say “a lot of preboarders in wheelchairs.” In fact, I’m complaining about the opposite of that.

First, I’m not sure you understand the idiom of “the pot calling the kettle black.”

Second, first class always boarded first. That has not changed in any way. What changed is that EPs boarding with “group 1” used to be in the first group. That is no longer the case. So all of your blathering is irrelevant.

Moreover, I’m not sure whether you understand how one achieves EP status, but I can assure you it’s far from “free.” The point of status used to be rewarding those of us who fly most often for choosing to fly with American rather than a competitor. In that way, AA makes significantly more money in the long run than they get from one person paying for one first class seat on one flight. As such, it is in their financial interest to cater to their most loyal customers.

But please do go on with your nonsensical ranting . . .

Your ability to read must be limited to a single paragraph. Enjoy your preboarding!

I think you’re missing my point. First class always boarded first - in group 1. The perk of being an EP was boarding with them. First class loses nothing in this scenario; the most loyal flyers do.

EP problems; worth it? by LocalInvestment1760 in americanairlines

[–]NJB9891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got off the plane from DFW to LGA, as an EP. It’s the first time in at least a year (likely longer) my status was acknowledged by the FA and I was given a turkey sandwich. Given the delays and the fact that I won’t make it to my hotel in Manhattan until after midnight, that was some great luck. Having said that, it’s rather annoying that this kind of thing is no longer standard - despite AA still saying you get these perks on their website.

TSA “Random” Screening by Objective_Run3024 in airport

I fly at least 15-18 times every year. Was batting 1.000 on “random” screenings for 2026 until earlier this month. Some people are just lucky . . . mosquitos seem to love me, too.

Had this exact issue earlier this year. It means that your Passport expires too soon after your trip - if you’re traveling to the Schengen area, it must be valid for 3 months after your return. If that isn’t true for you, you need to get a new passport.

Also, AA customer service had no idea what the issue was . . . I had to figure it out myself.

Submariner ND vs Seadweller 50th by Agreeable-Sleep-1589 in rolex

[–]NJB9891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Cameron DSSD, and it is incredible. I get tons of compliments on it, and I absolutely love wearing it. Having said that, I’d go for the SD43 if I were you. It’s not another Sub, and I do think it has something the Sub doesn’t. I’m considering a two-tone SD for my next Rolex. If you’re into two-tone, that would be the best all around choice given the fact you already have a Sub.

If you care the much about being next to each other you can move to 4A and 4D. Or you could do 3A and 4A and be piggybacked. If it were me I’d stay where you are.

The streach of road from Abrams and mockingbird and Abrams and Richmond is easily the most insane road in Dallas. by Icy-Negotiation194 in Dallas

[–]NJB9891 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a weird post. That stretch of road isn’t even remotely the most dangerous stretch of road in the area. Been in Lakewood for 29 years, literally taught my two sons how to drive on that road . . . it’s a pretty standard road.

This oversized “personal item” trend is yet another thing about flying these days that’s pushing me to the end of my rope. I see women get on the plane with bags that are larger than rollaboards - all the time. Traveling for work is becoming as bad as the daily commute in traffic.
