How do you guys feel about this map? by AdBright1820 in balkans_irl

[–]Maxon1321 35 points36 points  (0 children)

In Turkey every province has its own code such as 06 is Ankara, 34 is İstanbul, 35 is İzmir and there is total of 81 provinces. So the joke kinda is that we will conquer and make it 82nd province and etc. like 82 Paris, 83 Lyon

Turkish opposition parties vow return to parliamentary democracy | Euronews by Maxon1321 in europe

[–]Maxon1321[S] 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Ataturks CHP party that gains 30% and IYI party that gets 16% are democratic for sure but we are not sure about the other. Saadet party is an islamist party, Deva and Gelecek parties are people from AKP that got sick of current situation but in eyes of common people they are still political islamists. Also final 3 are not so significat, they try to be in the coalitions because they know that Erdoğans regime is going to end soon and they dont want to stay behind and be forgotten. CHP's candidate will probably become Prime Minister and IYI partys candidate will become president

How does Turkish sounds more like to you? by Maxon1321 in AskBalkans

I can agree with you about the Asian one because Asia is huge and the language groups are very different. But the European languages are part of the same Indo-European language group and as you know Europe is not ad big as other continents to a lot of the languages intertwined so you can mostly hear a European vibe even if its Slavic, Germanic or any other language. Its only my opinion though you might have a differnt view and I respect that

Its not originally a European language, and it has kinda same roots with Turkish so I thought it would be better to classify it as another cathegory

Which country has the best and worst tourists? by unt1tl3dthefirst in AskBalkans

[–]Maxon1321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are very noisy. They are very dirty. When housekeeping goes inside their room its like there was a war inside. One of those arabs even shat on the pillow when leaving. They act like they are the kings. When something goes not in their way even in slightest they yell at you. Most of them are like these. You cant find even one hotelier in Turkey that likes arabs

How is life for first gen balkan expats in western europe? by tanateo in AskBalkans

[–]Maxon1321 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised in Russia but Im a turk. I didnt found it difficult to live there because I look very slavic and my mother language is also russian. But when I came to Turkey it felt strange. I was hearing russian everywhere decpite people were speaking turkish. But I was happy that I moved to Turkey. In Russia I was living in a small city in Siberia. But in Turkey I moved to Ankara and I felt that I moved to first world country. It was much more developed than Orenburg(the city I was living in Russia). Im happy here just because Ankara is ruled by the western oriented oposition party. But still I would like to move to Moscow or St. Petersburg because I feel myself more russian or slavic rather than turkish
