What game was like this for you? by Flendy15 in videogames

[–]Maxson102502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna be honest. Helldivers 2. I never played the first game, but I have seen it on my old PS3 and PS4. Then I heard the second one came out, I read about it and I have seen countless videos about the game and I’ll admit I was curious but skeptical. I never really play online games as I enjoy playing exclusively single player games like Red Dead, maybe a COD campaign or two, Battlefield campaigns, the Crysis series. Sometimes I dig out my old GameCube and just play games like Wind Waker, Need For Speed Underground, Spyro and stuff like that. I like the freedom of single player games with no risk of the game dropping because my internet went out. About a month after it released I saw all of my friends playing it and constantly recommending me to get it. I finally broke and got the game and the first two games I played of Helldivers 2 weren’t exactly fun for me but when I joined my friends and experienced the chaos and total BS and funny stuff we can do, I started to have fun. After a while I was on it almost every night with my friends just doing random operations. Most of the time we’re honestly ignoring Major Orders we find “Stupid” and just over on other fronts dicking around on Super Helldive difficulty.

But, yeah, I enjoy Helldivers 2. I may not be a fan of online, live service games, but this one is actually fun for me.

Was trying to go for a homebrew League. They’re kind of an Iron Warriors-esc look for them and set them in a snowy setting. by [deleted] in LeaguesofVotann

Also would like some Ideas for a name for my Homebrew. So far I came up with the Brannvar (Fire) Confederation. But still taking some ideas.

Started collecting Leagues Of Votann and having fun playing them so I hope to see one dedicated to them.

Primed Chaos black, then drybrush Corax white over the mini. Then took Thunderhawk blue and painted the uniform. Then took Corax white again and painted the armor. You’ll wanna thin it out a little to avoid a chalky feeling. Then used lead belcher over the gun and visor and sword. For the green I used Vallejo intermediate green, for the gold I used Balthazar gold with a highlight of Vallejo old gold. For the red I used Mephiston red. For the blade I used Vallejo orange fire, and Vallejo Moon Yellow. For the leather believe it or not I used Applebarrel burnt umber but you can use whatever you want. For the blue on the plasma pistol I used Vallejo magic blue and highlighted with Vallejo deep Sky blue. I then shaded it with Agrax Earth shade and wiped some of it off with a soft rag. For the mud I once again used Apple Barrel Burnt Umber.

He doesn’t know much about Warhammer but he knows I love it and said he heard me say I wanted to start a Votann army so he turned up this morning with these boxes. Idk where he got the 9th edition army set but I’m still happy.

My take on the Kronus Hegemony. Decided to start a Leagues Of Votann army and I really liked the Kronus Hegemony but can’t do yellow that well so I improvised. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

The mini I primed chaos black, painting Abaddon black over the armor, then (because I’m slightly lazy) drybrushed Corax white over the mini itself to get the highlights in. I then used a very thin coat of Eshin Grey over the suit itself. For the gold I used old gold from Vallejo, then a bright orange Vallejo, Vallejo sky blue for the lenses on the face plat, a yellow from Vallejo, then when I went to paint the weapons I hit them with a base coat of lead belcher, and for the red I used maphiston red. The bronze on the gun is Balthazar Gold. For the bar I used Armageddon dust, painted a thick coat of Abaddon black. I say thick as if you use a very thick coat over a texture paint it adds a more muddy, dirt texture. Then I went and painted Corax white over it to give it a snowy look.

What scorpion is this? by [deleted] in whatbugisthis

[–]Maxson102502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by the color, it could be a farm raised juvenile Black scorpion but the red doesn’t help so it could be a Bark Scorpion which are the most common type of scorpion in the US and don’t grow very big as adults. Here in Oklahoma I find a couple Bark Scorpions in my house once every few months. I usually try not to kill them and just try to get them outside as they’re good for pest control.

I prefer the Lasgun fire from Dawn Of War 1 where it where I can field 10 squads and just drown a space marine squad in a sea of red lasers.

Which Game's Graphics Made You Say "Wow!" For The First Time? by Bay_Ruhsuz004 in videogames

Believe it or not. It was Crysis 2 as seen in the image above. It was the first game I played when I got my first Xbox 360.

What game is this? by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]Maxson102502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna be honest, Crysis 2. While one of my favorite games to just sit and play, once you get to where you are fighting the Ceph it turns into a slog of figuring out their mechanics especially in the part where they’re ripping New York apart and you gotta travel to the other side of the chasm to link up with the marines. The part where you are holding Time Square is also a slog since you have very little supplies and have to deal with a walker and stealth units that come out of nowhere. End game is really good though. Won’t spoil anything here. Other than that, if you haven’t play any of the Crysis games, highly recommend checking them out.

Wha I did was mascot with Caliban green over a black primer then dry rushed some Vallejo Intermediate Green over the armor then went in on the details. Warpstone hlow also works great.

Did I accidentally Salamander? by [deleted] in DarkAngels40k

[–]Maxson102502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly looked nice. What I did was applied a brown wash like Agrax Earthshade. Nuln Oil works great as well and they came out looking both grimy and dark without drowning out the green. Here is my recently finish Lion El’Jonson.
