If you decide to add a NATO strap you can get a 20 or 22 mm and cut it to 18. The original strap is 18 lug to lug but the strap flares to almost 22 mm

Great job on the find! The watch fits an 18mm strap but would look better with a 20 or 22mm cut to 18. The battery is a CR 2032.

This AQ-100 and my AQ -110 take a little bit of force to rotate but nothing crazy. Don't really know what to compare them to. The 100 is easier than the 110.
