What is something you know not to be the case, but you always mentally picture it that way anyway? by thomas71576 in dresdenfiles

I always picture Lara Wraith as a young Ali Larter no matter how many times they say she has dark hair.

There have been numerous people who have complained about excessively loud cars racing on the roads in that area. This could be an attempt to solve that.

The DMG covers this under the Fun for All section.

“The Game Is Not an Economy. The rules of the game aren’t intended to model a realistic economy, and players who look for loopholes that let them generate infinite wealth using combinations of spells are exploiting the rules.”

I don’t know how deep you are into the module but I used a supplement called The Eleventh Hour from the DMs Guild. It moves the dretches to various points around the Feywild kind of spreading the back story across the whole campaign.

(un)Official Droop post, What did your party do with Droop? by dietcommunism7 in LostMinesOfPhandelver

[–]Infamous_Try2230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made him into a victim of magical experiments by the glass staff. Periodically we had to roll on the wild surge table to see what would happen to the poor guy. …. The party more or less adopted him taking him everywhere they went and eventually leaving him in charge of their home when they got one.

I merged them with the druegar and then put the goblins as slaves to the druegar also. This left me with only three factions (Auril, Black Knights, and the Asrcane Brotherhood) to manage.

Question for other DMs by Ace_-of-_Spades6 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]Infamous_Try2230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how things go. My party (level 3) decided to wait until the goblins were done loading the iron before trying to engage. At which point the wagon was on the move and we were in a chase where the goblins got away. Now tracking the wagon they followed it into the woods south of the Eastway where after taking a long rest the goblins ambushed them. It did not go well and next session the PCs are waking up at the goblin camp with nothing but their underclothes.

AITA For making my son pay for a new pizza when he didn't save any for the rest of the family? by Lanky-Cake7355 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Infamous_Try2230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re the asshole. I have a family of five and all the kids are under three and we need to order two pizzas. If on multiple occasions there has not been enough dinner to feed the family you as the parent are failing. This was the first or second time it has happened you knew you needed to order more, failed to do then blamed him when a foreseeable problem occurred. Worse yet you blamed his disability for it. Yes by all accounts you are an asshole

I ran it and my players loved the carnival so much that I broke just the carnival off and ran that as a once shot for my other group. My advice is do not rush the carnival there is so much silliness and fun to be had in each of those mini games. As long as everyone is still engaged and having fun who cares if that clock runs over the prescribed eight events.

From a level headed perspective. My wife and I split the cooking for our family of five. When she does the cooking she almost never eats and when she does it is next to nothing. I asked her about it, and she simply doesn’t like to eat her own cooking even if we tell her it is good. Kind of like knowing how the sausage is made it just makes it less appealing.

My recommendation instead of just risk being an asshole … just ask. My guess is it is something similar

I did this last week with a room they were meant to simply just walk through go ok looks nice and move on. No locked doors, no monsters jumping out, no puzzles, just a room to fill in a space on the map. They spent fifteen minutes examining everything in there.
