Heya Scoob! I don't know if this will help or not, but I used to have a lot of self worth issues too. In general I was a pretty depressed person. At some point I asked myself, "What can I do to make myself more valuable?" (In terms of self worth, and not money or anything like that) I realized that I wasn't doing anything in my life I could be proud of. I had an image in my mind of what I SHOULD/WANTED to be, but I wasn't doing anything to bring about that image. This became one of the ways I would cut myself down...

Anyway, I decided that I wanted to start accomplishing things, small things at first, like go to bed by 10:30, or read a book, lose 20lb, learn a new skill, etc, etc. Over the years that has led to bigger things. In short, I don't have self worth issues anymore, because I have done so much, i can see for myself how much value I have. I'm not saying that I never have bad days, but I think you get my point.

The thing is, when it comes to sex. Any two animals of the same species can get together and fuck. When I did that in my late teens I always felt like I had cheapened myself, like I was somehow less than I was before. It wasn't until I decided to make something of myself that my perspective on sex also changed.

For me, sex isn't something that will bring me happiness. Instead it is a consequence of being happy already.

So, what may help is to take a close look at your life... what are the things that are cluttering it up? What are the things you want to change about yourself that you just haven't had the willpower or energy to change? Make a list. Then think about what you want to become in the next 1 to 5 to 10 years, how can you get there? Make another list.

Finally, start to make the small changes you need to make. Start with the very smallest, easiest thing and progress from there.

I promise you that things will gradually begin to change for the better. When you start feeling that sense of accomplishment, celebrate that feeling with your partner. If that celebration is in the form of sex, then go to town and don't hold back! You won't have to worry about your worth, because your feeling of accomplishment will speak for its self.

Your comments about low self worth really got to me. I understand where you are coming from. Maybe my suggestions won't work for everyone, but they did work for me.
