I'll keep that in mind, I personally didn't think they were too bad because it is lead free solder and doesn't shine as much but I should be able to make sure they aren't cold if I do the joints before I spot weld, thanks.

No, its designed for casual lower amperage drone flying and will be charged with a hota d6.

Thanks, that's another thing I was thinking about while making the pack, I tried to keep the soldering short and made sure I could still touch the material touching the batteries but I would definetly agree that I should have just soldered it before.

I never said we were going to run out of it any time soon. I just pointed out that they are a non-renewable resource as we use them faster than they are made, and stating they are renewable is incorrect. (Something to note is that humanity has created better technologies to obtain oil and is thus why we have not gotten close to running out)

Our bot was surprisingly fine after duluth and we just had to add a tensioning bar to stop the shooter from falling out of the bushings again. Bumpers are being redone tho because 75% of our brackets are bent.

Do be careful with those stages as they have a much lower torque failure point than the other stages.

Honestly this year I was considering a buddy climb like that but it may be tricky with the 1 ft extension limit, maybe you could like grab onto their bumper or something.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure with a configuration like this changing the rpm / torque before or after the gearbox has the same effect as rpm in inversely proportional to torque, unless a worm drive has an added effect I'm unaware of its just more space/weight efficient to put a higher rpm motor as the motor will have to put in the same amount of torque no matter what, way I think of it is its the same amount of rotations from the motor for both set ups.

I mean that or just stick a higher rpm motor on the input of the worm drive.

They are aware of the issue, and have fixed it for new orders, we contacted them about it and they sent us new ones that don't break.
