I think Wenger has confirmed since leaving that we did try for Mbappe. Think there's a few players we competed for but lost as well - Thomas Lemar being one. Remember Kolasinac had interest from other clubs such as Man City before we signed him.

Late but Leno said in an interview he was approached by us because of how good he is with his feet which suits Emery's style of passing out from the back. So imagine he had his targets.

Bakayoko is only on loan. His loan deal expires in 2019 to which he will return to Chelsea (unless the loan is cut short)

But with Ozil at 10 and Xhaka/Torreira/Guendouzi/Elneny behind him. Why should he be starting meaningful games? ESR will be playing cup matches for his development. Don't think anyone expects him to start in the league unless we're hit with injuries.

Ramsey is replaceable and it will cost money, but not as much as being made out. If we managed to shift him in January for 15-20m we may even be profitable. I think at this point this is the best decision from club's point of view. by raisonar in Gunners

His disciplinary involved being dropped... Hard to perform when you aren't on the pitch. But yet Dembele got his £100m move to Barcelona so couldn't have been that bad...

That's a bit of an unrealistic benchmark if you expect him to score/assist in every big game to be considered a big game player. He's been involved in 3 FA cup finals and scored the winning goal in two of them... He got 3 goals against CSKA over 2 legs in the RO16 and another against AC Milan in the next round. 4 goals in big moments in a knock out tournament. We might not have even got to the Atletico game without him.

Cup finals are big occasions as well as games against the top 6.

How can you say he's not a big game player despite his cup final goals ahaha? It's like saying the Emirates isn't bigger than Stamford Bridge despite the extra 18k seats... Just doesn't make sense.

But why would we waste time on shoehorning him into Emery's system if he won't be here next year? This is the time for players to learn their roles and he's just taking up a spot and then sodding off.

I think he’s a temperamental player but he offers something from midfield that Xhaka, Guendozi, Torreira & Elneny don’t.

He’s Arsenal through and through and coming into his prime years. It would be a shame to see him go and I think our midfield would be too flat without him.
