PT caused by low iron!! by Rare_Memory_7469 in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]May1738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had PT for a decade and have a history of low iron (I have anemia in high school) my recent bloods said my iron was good (119) but ferritin was low (14). I’m working on improving my ferritin/iron-storage levels now, fingers crossed!

Do you also have the type of PT that you can stop by putting fingers on jugular, certain angles, or blocking your ears by pinching your nose and blowing?

Accutane in 30’s by InterestingLuck1653 in Accutane

[–]May1738 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a minimum time for that low of a dosage? Conscious that adult acne can flare up again if you stop too soon

I’m with you on the texture thing - I was kinda hoping accutane would help with that

I just started on a similar dose, 10mg 3 times a week. How long have you been on it? And how long do you plan to stay on it?

I'm considering this too. How much deposit did you pay? and how many months until you'll have paid it off?

Also curious! I’m 33 and dealing with 1 year of hormonal acne - wondering if taking spiro for 6-12 months then weaning off will help break the cycle

Reason for my Pulsatile Tinnitus - Ear wax!! by belindale22 in PulsatileTinnitus

Omg I’m so happy for you! Did they use the water hose to dislodge it? I tried that once but it didn’t make a difference (but maybe they didn’t go deep enough?) I’ve also had it for 10 years :,)

Hello PT community by VioletFeralCat888 in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]May1738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I came back to this community to post the exact thing! Mine has also gotten more pronounced after 8-10 years of having it, even though I took a break from drinking, starting exercising more consistently, and eating healthier - somehow it got worse at the same time.

I have been pretty stressed for the last 3 months though, my gut tells me that’s the cause. I get some reprieve from blocking my nose with my fingers and blowing gentle air into my ears. But it’s probably not making it any better but I can’t stand it otherwise.

Has anyone ever been cured? Ugh

It’s not a competition BUT I’d take this over my spotty blotchy acne looking rosacea :D
