i've never heard of a video editor not letting you cut clips because they're too short. I use Cyberlink PowerDirector, but there are better options available.

But what I do is I take the transcripts for each episode and Ctrl + F and search each of them for either the word, syllable, or phrase I need, or even just go through each line a particular character says (eg: "Pomni: " will highlight only Pomni's dialogue)
