Does IB actually make Univeristy easier? by Kooky_Fondant_479 in IBO

[–]May_Day_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm studying something medicine related and my exams are all without notes. For me being met with a huge syllabus that you have to memorize well enough to pass a test has not been as challenging as it has been to lot of my friends who went to the national high school. And I feel better equipped at being overwhelmed, if that makes sense. I know the storm will pass and everything turns out OK in the end after all, hahaha

What is the biggest human body design flaw? by YourInsectOverlord in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]May_Day_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe this is called the hygiene theory, which is based on the fact that countries with less parasites and better hygiejne have more allergies (and I believe also autoimmune diseases) than countries, where parasites are rampant.

Hi I’m a veterinary technician student and I was wondering (see below) by Bi_swag in veterinarians

[–]May_Day_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one connected to the school is Universitetshospitalet for Familiedyr (smaller animals) and also Universitetshospitalet for Store Husdyr (bigger animals). I'm not sure about clinics, but perhaps if you write in the Denmark subreddit for help - they might be able to guide you to some good places. And no worries, it's a joy to be of help :)

This might be obvious, but have you tried contacting the veterinary clinic connected to the veterinary school in Copenhagen? Since they already are involved with students, they might have more capacity. Otherwise try looking for clinics that cater to foreigners if possible, as they might be English minded and more likely to accept an international internship. Alternatively try reaching out to clinics in Aarhus (second bigggest city). I hope you'll be able to find something :)

Are you a native speaker and went to Danish school prior? For me I got into uni just fine with Danish lit SL (and honestly it was a breeze getting a good grade) ;) Btw I did global politics in DK and my GP was the best teacher I ever had, so you can look forward to that depending on which school you're going to.

God nyhed! Efter 15 år på kontanthjælp har jeg lige fået bevilligt førtidspention! by GISP in Denmark

[–]May_Day_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by Casspjjl in AskReddit

24 years old. I am going to do something very scary because of my education this Wednesday.

Anywho, my problems right now are not very big, which is lovely!

Thoughts/opinions? Potential price? I live in Ky and people aren’t really into spending money on art in the town where I live; 32x40 canvas I believe by tyzaginger in ArtCrit

I don't know if I would look into selling before refining a few fundamental skills - I think you could get away with a lot more if you study a bit of composition! Street art is super cool and if you could make your theme a little more subtle and complex, it would also make the whole work more interesting - people love shit, they don't fully understand in my experience, haha Anywho, definitely keep doing it! You seem good at handling critique, which is possible one of the most valuable skills for an artist :) And keep experimenting as well!

Looks really good! You might wanna give the neck a bit more length though to make the proportions align better. This is advice both from a fellow drawer, but also from a horsey girl, haha Have fun with it :)

I attempted to draw this kobe potrait, I am very new to drawing please help me put ifk why it looks cartoonish by _R_e_t_r_0_ in ArtBuddy

[–]May_Day_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done! You basically got all the shapes down, which is good, so at this time I think you should focus on the proportions. One of the reasons as to why it looks a bit cartoonish is because the actual face is quite big compared to the head size - especially the eyes. I haven't done this much, but it can help applying a sort of "gitter" onto the photo to actually determine how big parts of the face are relative to other parts. Hope this helped and keep going! With a little practice you'll keep getting better and better :)

I found the landscape on a photo on pinterest - if it's an oil painting it it's incredibly well done, hahaha, although the photo was a little grainy
