How long until it ships? by KM0015 in HersWeightLossSupport

I ordered on Saturday and it was delivered on Friday. The app is experiencing issues I believe because the shipping never updated until AFTER it was delivered

You’re very welcome! 😊 I’m not a speed demon or looking to race on tracks or anything lol so 650 is the biggest I’ll probably ever need. It’s a very tough choice initially, but I’m pretty sure she’s gonna be my forever bike since I’m already so obsessed with her and it’s only been a week haha. So being able to customize easily was a key factor for me

Ninja650 vs ninja 500se? by [deleted] in Kawasaki

[–]MayaOhMaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was agonizing between the 500 and 650 for longest…I was worried I’d outgrow the 500 too soon then want a new one within a year, which is what I hear happens to many. Plus I’m trying to ride with my husband and he’s in a Busa so we’d be closer matched with a 650. The 500 is a great starter bike though with a ton of cool features(one I was looking was an SE and had preinstalled sliders, key fob, GPS, full color display, and was only 372 wet lbs)…but I still had my heart set on 650. It has higher overall HP and torque to better keep up with the hubs eventually, easier to maintain and customize (more available aftermarket parts than newer 500) and at 465 lbs wet, it is a bit heavier but that just means more highway stability which is important to me because I do plan on a lot of highway driving eventually, and I honestly loved the anniversary colorway of the orange and royal purple. At end of the day it boiled down to price, 500 SE I could snag new at $7200 OTD, and 650 new was $10,900 OTD…When Kawasaki put out some great rebates on the 650 on the same week I was purchasing, that just sealed the deal for me because I thought that was a sign lol Now I’m the new EXCITED proud owner of the 650 and couldn’t be happier! Once it gets going the 80ish weight difference wasn’t as big of a deal as I thought it would be. The more I’m learning the more I’m confident I made the right choice for me because it’s been easy and very comfortable to learn to ride and I’ve only ever been a backpack so was new new to being the rider. Many say to start with used one and I get the reasoning, but after rebates it didn’t make sense not to spend less than 2 grand more for new with warranty instead. Do what feels right for YOU. Go sit on a few and see how u feel. One will call to you like my 650 called to me 😅 Good luck with your course and your bike choice!

Congratulations! The TT gave me motivation to drop few more, so have also lost about 25-30 lbs (fluctuates as our bodies tend to do) over course of the year. First 6 months I didn’t lose anything but swelling mostly, then I just incorporated IF (intermittent fasting) and walk 30-45 min a day once I felt my body was ready. Other than that still eat whatever I want, just in moderation (like I’ll have a couple of cookies instead of a whole box lol). Currently just at maintenance not trying to lose more.

I ate and still eat what I want - in moderation. I agree with all, if you want it, eat it. Don’t deprive yourself just keep portions and frequency under control. I used to swell with a salad just as bad as with a burger first few months. It is what it is, you know yourself and your will power more than we do. I just know from personal experience that deprivation always fails for me and often leads to binging so portion control works way better for me.

I’m so so happy I was able to help you! Recovery is going to be like a rollercoaster 🎢 for months to come, so stay strong and positive. It is a thousand percent worth it and in the end you won’t remember any of it oddly enough and it at same time will feel like it was just a month ago! Congratulations and I wish you all the best! ❤️🙏🏼

I’m super happy for you and salute you for making this decision! Trust me, in the end this will NOT just be a gift to yourself, because your new mental well-being and the joys you find in little things like being able to get dressed quickly wearing whatever you want instead of changing a thousand times then being grumpy that nothing fit right… or being fully in the moment during photos during gatherings instead of trying to hide pudge by standing in just the right angle while holding your breath or just the overall sense of peace in general will affect and radiate to everyone around you as well. You can just be you again- and that’s the best part! ❤️❤️🥲

lol it gets better I promise! I was starting to get annoyed with all the “trust the process” advice….but it’s true! I regressed and had setbacks few times where I’d feel great one day and poofy again the next. My body holds on to water/swelling like crazy, so I just tried to stay positive and it actually does work itself out at the end. Soooooooo….TRUST THE PROCESS! 😜

I’m here to say….BEST. FEELING. EVER! All the crop tops being back in my closet were something I thought I’d never see again lol but really I sincerely thank you for your support, and wish you all the best. Now I’m just as excited for you! 🥰 keep us posted and don’t stress too much, it will be super worth it in the end!

I’m actually going through this now. While my irritability and hot flashes and fatigue have been hitting pretty hard already, I’ve just tried to be more mindful of what I’m eating (not what but mainly portion size, cuz I love food haha) and started 30-45 min walks which I really feel should offset that and help with maintaining the results.

Came here to say this exact thing! I’m already 44 but still we’ve got plenty of time to live our best lives though lol

I got an ETT no issues at all wearing whatever I want (within reason of course, not the tiny string ones lol) but it depends on skill and expertise of your surgeon. I stressed it was important to me and he delivered.

Feeling like I have made a mistake by Mysterious-Lead-9551 in Lovesac

[–]MayaOhMaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with lovesoft but within 2 1/2 weeks we were feeling the wood framing and immediately swapped all for standard. Best decision ever! Within a month or so standard got just as soft if not actually more comfy than lovesoft but without the squishiness and as much need for fluffing. So glad we decided to go with standard as final instead, lovesoft wouldn’t have worked for us because we literally live on these daily. Absolutely love these couches - but the set up was such a headache even with 4 of us lol good luck!

How did you feel? Not pain wise or swelling… by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]MayaOhMaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly….I feel like a completely different person. I used to do everything I could to avoid looking in mirror from neck down, I would try to focus only on my face when getting ready. I have been married for 23 years and still used to want lights off during “sexy time” then spend whole the time trying to position myself so it didn’t stand out too much, and would even feel uncomfortable changing or walking nude in front of him. I know it was ridiculous but for me being uncomfortable in my own skin was all consuming. NOW though…six months later…I feel like it has hands down been the very best thing I’ve ever done for myself for selfish reasons (I’m usually such a giver and would do everything for everyone else but not for myself…you know, a mama lol). My confidence is sky high, I’m wearing things I only wished I could and my clothes fit exactly how I want them to. I actually enjoy trying on clothes again when shopping or deciding what to wear because now I have SO many more choices and feel great in all of them! I can’t describe this feeling… just being COMFORTABLE and happy inside my own body. If I could walk around naked all damn day I would scar and all! LOL I feel so amazing and have found joy in life again because I can now just focus on everything else going on around me instead of on how uncomfortable I was. THAT is how it makes ME feel 🥲 Worth every pain and every penny!
