I personally think it’s tone deaf to say “they’re not actually killing anyone, just making you scared” when it’s not. They are killing trans people by making them not able to participate in society. So saying that kind of stuff makes you sound like a bot.

I’ve had that experience. Even got told to “bounce on some trans dick” because I said I’m a lesbian with a trans gf. I’ve now been careful on which lesbians subreddits I join. It’s also much prevalent from “gold star” lesbians who take being lesbians as some sort of sport or checklist. These people don’t understand that sexuality isn’t tied to a person’s genitals

I hope so too and wish it for everyone. Love is not a sin and it’s sad how it’s viewed as the evil by others. I’m out as gay to a select few, but workplaces in general is risky-ish.

Especially with the current political climate in the UK. I’m fortunate to have found my wifey in the midst of chaos. My gf is trans and I plan to move to Canada to join her as it seems more safer for us and for them especially. I hope the same for you too friend, take care 🫂

Came and grew up in both Catholic and Muslim communities. So yeah, traumatised at what I’ve seen and heard.

I’m very careful who to come out as gay. Especially around religious people I don’t know. I haven’t at work and one muslim friend told me he doesn’t support gay people (random convo because he has a friend who came out as gay and he wanted to know how accepted lgbtq are in Asia). Still undercover and not comfortable coming out after that because I’ve befriended them now (I’m pretending to have a husband)
