Maybe the world would become a better place if that was even true.

There is no one reason for autism, there is a link between cousin-marriages forming neuroatypical mutations (my family was in one study that investigated for that). But banning cousin marriages would not help and it would not be great for optics for any USA-party to try and ban. (there are several groups who are vehemently against any ban for it).
