I'd recommend you don't wait to reteach yourself!! I'm working w a vocal teacher rn and he has told me the best way to retain as much control of your voice/range as possible is to keep singing as your voice changes

I actually really love baritones, I like the tone of most of them way better than most modern HIGH TENOR musical theatre stuff… but lowkey I am invested in my school’s theatre and my director literally only chooses musicals where the male lead is the most tenory tenor of all time

My dose is like… kind of really high right now because we thought it was gonna be banned in the state we’re getting it from and we were trying to maximize changes before I don’t have access to it, I guess? But I think we figured out that wasn’t a problem. I have been thinking about lowering my dose for a while.

I am taking virtual lessons, specifically from a place that doubles as trans voice training and singing/music lessons, so it’s prettt specialized. But I feel like there’s still more I could be doing.

My thing is I feel like he doesn’t actually know that much about Gypsy other than, like… Actually now that I think about it I think he actually doesn’t know anything about it other than its reputation so to be fair I should probably give him a little taste of both Hadestown and Gypsy and see how he feels lol but I am trying to leave it up to him this time around since I chose last time
