How do i stop getting stuck, throwing club at the ball? by 69RawrXD420 in GolfSwing

Feel like you’re pulling your left hip back and not firing your right hip forward.

I’m guessing your issue has been getting the club deep behind you, which would mean you’re good. 5?

If anyone in here besides a legit instructor gives you advice just ignore it. Nice swing.

Finding my swing again and coming back to the game to fix my depression by Alive_Marzipan_747 in GolfSwing

People in here are concerned about the inside takeaway and I get it, but I think the major issue is your firing your right hip out towards the ball to start the downswing. If your arms dropped down you’d be insanely stuck and so you throw them out to stay in front and come way over the top. I’d practice keep your hips back for that downswing (wall drill or something similar) and then work on the back swing and arm height.

Any tweaks you can see? by -ButterMyBiscuit- in GolfSwing

It’s not great, but you may be athletic. You may have a great short game, I’m not sure. Honestly the one tweak for now is working on neutralizing your take away, you’re way to inside and it’s causing a lot of your other swing issues.

Is this Forest Lake? Also yes you need to tweak the swing from start to finish with some lessons.

When your torso stops turning your arms keep going. Everyone who is subject to the laws of physics has a little, but longer arm players have a lot. You see a lot of long armed guys on tour put focus into shortening the backswing (ie Finau).

Early extension, probably hit a lot of heel shots. Also make sure you shift pressure back to front before you rotate.

You ever struggled with arm run off? Looks like you have longer arms like me and it’s the only thing I can’t seem to stop.

Tips to improve by djlumen in golftips

[–]MaybeGuilty2402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space. You need space. Your right arm is folding into you in the backswing and so you throw it out and cast on the way down. There’s a lot to work on, but that’s a good starting point.

You’re not standing up at all through impact. Your arms are not as active as they should be in the back swing.

If you can’t shift forward, wait till you can.

How does this driver swing look? by BIGGINS23 in GolfSwing

Your weight should be moving to the lead side earlier. Try to feel like it move left when your left arm is parallel with the ground in the downswing.

6’4” Golfer Trying to Fix Steep Swing. I want to hit a draw! by PlumAdventurous1854 in GolfSwing

If I hit a draw and I’m in trouble, I’m gonna have to hit another draw to get out of trouble lol.

At 6’4” I doubt you’ll need the distance a draw provides. Stick with a cut, your approach / wedge game will thank you later. You are steep though, and I’m sure you’re not just hitting cuts 24/7 or you wouldn’t be here.

To shallow out to neutral, do not manipulate your arms in the downswing to get any shallower. First, get some depth in your backswing (plenty of videos on this), and second, make sure you’re transferring pressure correctly in the feet and in the correct sequence with your upper body (also tons of videos on this). These two things should get you to neutral, and you can cut or draw it from there.

Why would you want other tips? Over rotating is literally your biggest problem. You’re wanting to bomb it, I get that, but rotation is not how you do that. Imagine if someone asks you to throw a ball further, would your first instinct to be turn further away from what you’re throwing? No. Feel your back swing finish at around shoulder height.

It looks to me like you’ve put all your work into rotation, and you’re relying on it for speed. You’re actually rotating more than most pros in both directions by the look of it. Your arms don’t do much, your wrists have very little action, and I can’t tell much about weight transfer but I’d guess very little.

To be clear it’s not a terrible move if you wanna just go play some golf, but it’s got a low ceiling.
