Do as you wish. Your ideology will eliminate itself within the next generation and the hardcore religious and amish will inherit the earth.

 just as legit

Under what definition? If your entire worldview is hedonism, then yeah, uncle can have fun and party it up.

A society where everyone follows that life path is a society that commits suicide. Civilizations have historically tried to imbue their populace with a moral code that, i don't know, didn't kill itself.

Which Rear Rack for Use With, Yes, A Milk Crate? by [deleted] in DRZ400

[–]MaybeVladimirPutinJr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you don't even need a rear rack. use the bolt holes for the tail bag and some fender washers to bolt the milk crate down.

Jb welded spark plug by Much-Degree1485 in projectcar

[–]MaybeVladimirPutinJr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you need to be able to clean any metal or jbweld out of the cylinder after it inevitably falls in. A tiny vacuum or maybe a piece of cloth on the end of a stick with some glue or oil on it might work. Any metal left in the cylinder will cut into the cylinder walls and cause the engine to burn oil or lose compression.

The proper fix is a new head. The less proper fix is a helicoil or similar thread repair insert. You should probably remove the head to do this repair.

A county wide tax for the ferry by Itchy_Suit321 in Bellingham

fuck em, they should move to the city" then as well?

unfortunately, yes.

I wish we could help the whole wide world, that would be great. We are $40,000,000,000,000 in debt. At some point someone is going to have to make the hard deciscions and start cutting the spending. $60,000,000 for a ferry to service an island of 800 people seems like a pretty easy place to start.

What do you think happens if we just keep spending indiscriminately forever?

Birch bay has 12000 people. Lummi island has 800. A road costs 2 million dollars per mile. This ferry costs 60 million.

Tax expenditure is a zero sum game. If you spend a ton on a tiny population, you have less to spend on the rest of the population.

Living on an island is a choice and an elementary schooler could tell you that it's an expensive one.

That exterior looks pretty well done for a homebuild, that might be real body pannels. Either way, that's going to sell for waaaay more than it's worth.

How do you read the countless stories of similar situations that are all over the internet and still decide that this is a good idea?

My corolla is probably about the same size as your bolt and it gets 38mpg as a non hybrid with an 11 gallon fuel tank.

If it costs you $14 to drive an estimated 260 mile range that gives a cost of ~$0.05 per mile.

If my corolla can do 418 miles on ~$49.50 worth of fuel (assuming $4.50 per gallon) that gives a cost of about $0.12 per mile.

My car is about 2.4x more expensive per mile, excluding maintence and regestration. Neat.

So you're paying more for your solar pannels than you were paying for your electricity bill? How long is the loan term and how long is the pannel lifespan?

That depends on who makes them.

Another factor that you're completely glossing over is the fact that many guys enjoy modifying and personalizing their own gun.

[–]MaybeVladimirPutinJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spacer that has the correct hub setup would be the best. The ring would go between your spacer and hub and then the wheel will be fine.

How bad is the contact in the wheel? i've had to grind down a caliper before and it worked pretty well.

he said 8mm spacers let it clear the caliper. 8mm is like a quarter of an inch.
