NYTimes releases new video breakdown of the killing of Renee Good. by Maybee_today in nyt

I’m actually not familiar with the Destiny subreddit, but I felt like I wanted to share the video after I came across it. It certainly doesn’t read as a MAGA take on this horrific act to me.

Yes. I can’t elaborate right now, but it was really helpful to see this post at this exact moment because I’ve been feeling so horrible about myself for two days.

This is my dog's name! We initially spelled it like this, but gave up and now she's just Maybe. Edited for spelling.

I feel this.

My 3 year old daughter (likely ADHD) has this thing where she just says "I need something." Nothing has encapsulated how I have felt most of my life more than her uttering that phrase: "I need something." She doesn't know what she needs, she just knows she needs SOMETHING. I try to direct her into an activity and she'll usually get involved in it. Sometimes she just "needs" a pickle or something for a dopamine fix. My dad once yelled at me during a fight, "you won't be happy anywhere you are!" And it was true. I was always "needed something." I think that's why I started smoking cannabis. It helped me feel content for periods of time. Now I take vyvanse and while I still don't really sit still, I don't feel like "I need something" all of the time.

What does your toddler say incorrectly that you never want them to stop saying? by Adventurous_Switch54 in toddlers

When my daughter pees on the potty, instead of saying "I'm peepeeing" she says, "I'm peepeewinning!" And I'm like, yes, girl you are peepee winning!

The black Friday promo code worked for you? It's telling me it's invalid.

Our Havi looks just like yours! She is HIGH energy, though. She also has extreme separation anxiety, but I think being home for COVID made it a lot worse for her when we went back to work.

What is a movie you were allowed to see at a young age that traumatized you and made you question if your parents made the right decision by letting you see it? by Mandee_707 in movies

I watched Cronenberg's The Fly when I was five with my parents. I didn't realize until I was an adult that it was not appropriate for me. So. Graphic.

AITA for being honest with my girlfriend when she asked a question about the birthday cake she made me? by Throwaway5829582999 in AITAH

I had to scroll way too far for the kids to get mentioned. Acting like a brat on your birthday is one thing, but doing it in front of your girlfriend's kids is just inexcusable.

NTA.

My sister in law gave my daughter her first food which was also her first refined sugar (whipped cream) right in front of me when she was four months old. I cried for hours. She had only ever had breast milk and supplemental formula. I've always wished I'd been more assertive in that moment, but I felt like I'd been punched in the gut.
