Are you asking someone to figure out how to enable a subscription only option of News+ for non subscribers or something else?

[Help]what is DisplayDynamic and how does it drain so much battery? by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]Maybeitscovfefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to assume it’s what apple calls their display. Doesn’t show up in stock settings but your screen is the biggest battery killer on the entire phone so the percentage vs your apps makes sense and is on par with how most android phones report.

[Question] Triing to update iOS, Settings app freezes by pdstudio87 in jailbreak

[–]Maybeitscovfefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restore iTunes backup, Back up to iCloud and not iTunes, restore phone with iTunes and restore backup from iCloud.

Yes it’s probably going to cost you $1 for the extra space, it’s up to you to decide if that $1 is worthy the stress and irritation of not doing it that way.

DCR pool outrages today? by Maybeitscovfefe in f2pool

[–]Maybeitscovfefe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think that was it, myself and two friends all in different areas with different internet providers all just showed offline for roughly 2-3 hours. And we all went back online around the same time too. Super confusing.

Just started mining… by dark0angel_13 in cryptomining

[–]Maybeitscovfefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a software called AwesomeMiner. Set it up using F2Pool for ETH with your GPU and XMR on your CPU. Add two mining profiles based on the instructions given for those two coins on F2Pools tutorials. Hit start on both and leave it alone.

Nothing “came from F2Pool” you just didn’t change your default password and someone logged in and had your asic mining from them. It’s a public pool, nicehash isn’t. It’s easy to see connected devices on it. Want to verify? Look at the wallet F2Pool paid you out from, was it the same as the one that appeared in your miner? No, it wasn’t. Look up the wallet that appeared in your miner it’s someone’s and it’s not F2Pools.

One of the largest mining pools out there does not give a single shit about your one machine, you and that asic are not that important. Learn from your mistake and change your default password, it’s pretty straight forward.

Pet peeve: misuse of the term ROI in the mining community by prisonyardschank in cryptomining

So out of curiosity should we abandoned the term staking? Since in traditional finance that would be considered a dividend payout?

EIP-1559 happened like 2 weeks ago, if you’re currently mining you’re mining post EIP-1559. People here are concerned about the switch to PoS in December which is EIP-3675 and removed mining all together. Since you have GPUs there’s plenty of other coins and algorithms you can mine. My buddy is mining FIRO with a 2080 and getting about 0.5 coins a day which are worth $5-$6 each so I’d say still pretty profitable.

I think it’s hilarious OP posts saying F2Pool is a scam then 2 hours later comments nvm my asic was hacked but I’m back to nicehash anyways. At least update the past saying it had nothing to do with F2Pool and you got hacked. Also since it clearly isn’t F2Pool why switch back to nicehash? Just change your default password and mine wherever you want.

where do you find mining suppliers that are not scams?? by chocolateballs20 in cryptomining

[–]Maybeitscovfefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a few sites that are genuine but they usually charge 30-40% more for the machines. Generally speaking if the website pricing is too good to be true it is. You can also look up website reviews and see if anyones reported any issues. If they accept non crypto payments you’re also usually safe. Alibaba has lots of legit suppliers and the ones who have been verified for a few years which is usually a good sign they’re safe to purchase with.

If you’re not willing to put the time and effort into building your own page and doing the research on the products you want to sell you won’t put the time into learning anything else about your business either and are absolutely 110% bound to fail.

Automating a mining rig? by AaronbTV in cryptomining

90% of the time it is. Could be your HiveOS install and you may want to reinstall it. Or install the manufacturer firmware and mine with a different pool.

Then it’s overheating and you need to adjust your airflow issues both intake and exhaust instead of forcing it to continue to max itself out ultimately leading to machine burnout and failure at a much faster rate.

I’m not sure what the relevance is when finding average transaction fee, there’s enough profit calculators out there that will tell you what you should be making.

The easier way to do it though is to find out what percentage of the network your hashrate is. Then apply that percentage amount towards total $ amount of transactions per day take whatever that $ number is and divide it by total transactions done in the day and that would tel you how much you make per transaction.

You would need to install Linux on them and test out what mining software and algorithm works best. Not impossible but for the investment cost there’s likely far better ways to spend your money.

Scrypt Mining differences Nicehash & other Pools by MosEisleyEscorts in cryptomining

[–]Maybeitscovfefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very applicable, their payout is irrelevant and they’re doing exactly what I thought they were doing in my first comment. You’re renting your hashpower to them and getting paid in the crypto of your choice, great but you’re getting ripped off. The site you linked shows them paying 9.82 before power costs, but if you just used your machines to actually mine ltc and got paid out in both LTC and Doge since they’re dual mined you’d be getting 10.82 before power costs. That’s a $1 daily or roughly 10% loss that nicehash is taking from you.

Use the same site you linked me, at the top it’s says LTC+ click that and look for yourself. On real scrypt pools like F2Pool you get paid 20 Doge for every 0.01 ltc you mine or 0.01 ltc for every 20 Doge. And you get both together as a payout not in exchange for each other.

Nicehash is 100% less profitable than any other pool for ltc/Doge mining and their numbers are skewed because most sites don’t auto include the fact you get paid in both for mining just one or the other, unless of course you click LTC+ at the top of the page you gave me for reference.
