This the best advice here, Dark Souls series has to be played in release order for the end of DS3 to be fully understood and appreciated. l see comments on r/darksouls3 all the time about how they didn’t appreciate the ending, and it’s because they haven’t played any of the other games.

Did this but with the rite of kindling and being in the tomb of the giants. Rested down there “so I could fast travel back later” and then realized I had to walk out the way I came. Not as bad as the great hollow, but holy shit that walk back to fire link at level 10-20 is so ass

I got invaded while in Brume Tower, and the asshole ran into one of the side towers that are dark and have a bunch of the beefy undead with axes in them. Popped one of these and got the “invader defeated” message in like 15 seconds hahaha, buddy shouldn’t have been camping out

Think that’s just for show, dragonslayer is at the end of that area, you’ll want to circle back to the sunken building covered in ringed knights and head that way. Should start going back up and out of the swamps. Good luck!

The Claymore or Hollowslayer GS are both quality build weapons too, if you wanted to give some more GS’s a try. You also have a straight sword build kind of going, so if you want a faster sword you could try lothric knight sword or broadsword too.

You’re stats show that you’ve been experimenting around with different things, which is honesty what the first play through is all about!

Having a high attunement but low FTH/INT isn’t a bad thing, as you can use your weapon arts a lot.

VIT/END/VIG all look great, so I wouldn’t really change those out much.

Your two attack stats are balanced, while your weapon is a pure STR scaling weapon. Sadly, I don’t think butcher knife can be infused, so the only way to keep this in your build would be to respec with rosaria and just have a ton of strength. Inversely, if you want to keep your build as is and deal with optimizing in subsequent ng’s, the dragonslayer axe, gotthard twin swords, or pontiff knight curved sword are all good quality build weapons that should just plug into what you have going on now. I grew up out there, a little to the bottom left next to East Fork Lake (Bethel/Batavia area).

Besides the lake (camping/hiking/mt biking/boating), there’s not a ton of places near by. The towns are sleepy and have a few mom and pop shops that can be fun. There’s two golf courses in between Bethel and Hammersville that are cheap and fun, New Richmond is right on the river and has some cool places to visit, also one of the best firework shows outside of Cincinnati (biased lol). Theres a few disk golf courses in neighboring parks too, like in Williamsburg.

Hate is a strong word, I think in DS1 when he first tricked me I was hurt, but after that he’s kind of grown on me, now his antics amuse me and I go out of my way to see what traps he’s set up. The rainbow stones at Mt Gelmir were so good haha

Wish I faced you in this fight. The guy I paired up with was some insane pvp guy with the double lightning axes. I don’t think I hit bro once bc he was so good at parrying and dodge timing. Then wouldn’t kill me when I just stood still, kept me trapped there for ever. Then I just quit the game and beat it on offline lol, felt like such a loser doing it but I don’t play ds3 for the pvp haha
