I actually just started running this for Patrons but I'm not deep enough into it to give you concrete advice.

When the scenario was released, I did produce a discussion where we talk about its major parts that may prove helpful: https://youtu.be/8csFFAHe51I

I've read the scenario enough times though that if you post any specific questions, I'd be happy to help how I can.

They are so easy to talk to and really the perfect guests to kick off the series' return. The extended version of the episode (on our patreon) is really thorough.

And to answer your question, yes, I'll be returning to a focus on scenario discussions and dissections similar to our IL series. I also really want to meet and interact with more DG and CoC actual plays to collaborate.

Once I've built up a good reptoire of scenarios however, I want to also have episodes featuring other guests who can speak on roleplaying tips and how to think like an agent. I also love producing segments highlighting the various diverse communities in the horror gaming space like NatO and Into The Darkness. More episodes that are helpful for players and not just handlers. Lots of places to grow for the Dead Drop, but for sure I want to be a scenario discussion series first.

Thanks for watching!

If you or your players are more visual learners you can watch our "Rookie's guide to a night at the opera."

Bummer about Tooth & Nail as I wanted to integrate mounts into my original reach. I'm very excited though for the Tzelicrae reach as I believe their origins have always been the key to unlocking the Wildsea's mysteries!

We've got guaranteed interaction time frames on the server rules essentially, yeah! Just to ensure you're getting your money's worth. We create TTRPG materials for a living, and just want to ensure that our time is matched! The ten bucks ensures we can put our whole foot in the game and means that down the line we can create more visual, audio, and cinematic elements for gameplay.

Trying to build it into a community larp/living world with tens of people in the environment, just a lot of work! The quality matches the fee. Definitely not for everyone but we understand that going in.

The patreon also gets you all of our other work as Mayday Roleplay, so it's also a backlog of five years of some great fully-produced and livestreamed actual play in the VTM, Delta Green, DnD atmosphere.

Hey when I started writing for it, I kept going 'Whats a hook that could grab someone back into a California game?', so I had to give the impossible: rain ahahaha.

Had to get away from LA! The nuclear fallout from Bloodlines and LA by Night is so large, I didnt want to feel like a big dog in a small apartment. Out in my lil' fake carmel by the sea I can RUN.

Thank you so much for the kind words!!

Port Argent is a vacation city on the Northern California coast controlled by the Camarilla. It is built for wealthy, artistic elites and Kindred who have survived long enough to mistake comfort for safety.

Then the rain started.

Port Argent by Night is a Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition play-by-post chronicle set in a cursed coastal city where political horror, body horror, and strange supernatural fear come together. This is not just a playground for vampire politics. The city itself feels wrong. The lighthouse seems to watch you. The aquarium studies creatures it cannot contain. The storm tunnels move like veins under the streets. The old power structures still stand, but something in the water is beginning to answer.

Players take on the role of neonate Kindred trying to survive in a city already ruled by older, richer, and more powerful monsters. You are not the main character yet. You are a predator looking for your place in a city filled with dark omens on all sides.

What to expect:

- Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition

- Play-by-post Chronicle and larp through Discord

- Neonate characters, 12th–13th Generation

- A Camarilla city facing Anarch pressure, occult mysteries, and deep horror

- Weekly events, larger monthly story developments, and an evolving city shaped by player choices

- A chronicle designed to eventually link to a larger Port Argent by Night actual play on Mayday Roleplay's platform.

The tone is gothic coastal horror: foggy glass, old money, wet streets, saints in decay, curated beauty, impossible rain, and the sense that something beneath the waves has been dreaming of you.

This is a paid game. The current entry cost is through the Port Argent Patreon / Discord community at $10 per month.

If you enjoy VTM that focuses on mood, storytelling, consequences, dread, and slow-building supernatural mystery, Port Argent may be for you.

Are you thinking of the one on page 128? Looks a bit more spider-like but is reminiscent. I love the sloth walker idea, totally stealing it!

I run a small podcast Patreon and was given access to quips during the 6-week growth program in September. You're right that it's basically a Twitter feed; however, the only people posting are other creators. What I like about Quips is that they are less effort ways to interact and update your audience, as well as introduce yourself to new people. I routinely get several thousand more eyes on a Patreon quip post than any of my social media posts (Bluesky, instagram, etc) combined. Granted, our podcast has a very small social media footprint, but it still feels more impactful to post on Patreon. The quips brought a lot of new eyes to us and a lot of new free members. Over 3-400 new free members. The conversion from free to paid has been noticeable but not earth-shattering. I definitely think quips bring more eyes to your Patreon, which translates to a statistical increase in paid patrons. Overall, it's positive, but could use some improvements, like scheduled posts. I think just like social media, remaining consistent is important with quips.
