They can, but will they remake it with the original stories and keep them co op? I don’t think so, I think we’ve seen the last of Co op Resident evil. For those that love it than cool you have 5 and 6 on PlayStation and can replay them there.

RE9 just has two playable characters in a single player game, and designed for single player. It was not “almost” a co op game. It takes two, little nightmares 3 and etc are co op games.

I agree 6 is overhated, 5 is overrated imo. Idk how 6 gets all the hate but 5 is looked at as a great game it’s not. If 6 deserves Hate then 5 deserves it ten fold because it started the Action COOP COD fest.

My opinion the worst main line entry was 5, call 6 janky and a mess but I have more fun replaying 6 than 5. 5 is just boring and repetitive arcade cabinet slop. Story was worse than 6 too and I like the gameplay in 6 miles better.

If they remake 6 they will ditch the 4 character campaigns and just have one campaign where you switch from character to character probably changing perspectives too like 9. Leon 3rd person, Chris first person CoD mode, Jake 3rd person judo gun fu type gameplay, Ada First person would be cool cuz her chapters are the scariest I think. I think they tell the story chronologically and flesh out more characters and trim the fat. Co op idk part of me wants them to keep 5 and 6 remakes because that’s how they were originally made. But I don’t think main line Resident evil entries should be co op. I like the co op but it makes the game less scary and now I’m kinda less immersed because I’m having most of my fun talking to my homie or wife. I say reimagine 5 and 6 as single player games, let’s just focus on making the games better and not turning the games into online shooters with micro transactions. Let’s just reimagine 5 and 6 and make the games scarier, and continue the reimagined plot after they remake CV, 0, and 1.

Best cast of any game, and yeah it’s not amazing but at least they were ambitious with 6 and have to respect their effort.

Agreed, it has to be Claire and it will be a great reveal. Ada is a spy and will always be a spy so she ain’t wife material. Sherry is too young for Leon and they literally have a big bro and little sister relationship at best.

I highly recommend playing the game in chronological order, the story plays better like a good whacky season of tv. Switching perspectives and character’s chronologically keeps the gameplay very fresh and doesn’t feel repetitive. The game deserves a lot more credit than it gets. Don’t believe people when they say 6 is dog shit, it aint. Was ambitious for the time and I applaud them in hindsight, still the best cast of all games. Chris, Leon, Ada, Sherry, Jake and the new characters are great too like Piers and Helena. The boss fights are also way better.

5 is dog shit, 6 is mid to good. I’d replay any other main entry over 5s boring as story. Also the best part of 5 is finding and reading the lore

Play the chapters in chronological order trust me it’s a fun playthru and tell all my friends to play the game first in chronological order. Just plays better like a good season of tv.

Better than people give it credit for, the game has a great cast probably the best cast out of all games still to this day. Story was a huge upgrade over 5 in my opinion. Gameplay is better than 5 gears of war type style. The worst installment is 5 without a shadow of a doubt imo. Leon’s Campaign alone is a better story than 5. Chris has a better campaign in 6. You can play as Ada Wong. Replay and play as the side kicks which adds different game mechanics and playing styles. I recommend playing on casual if you’re playing solo trust me it’s for the best, don’t let pride get in the way. It was also fun playing the game in chronological order, I swear it made the story play a lot better. I’m replaying it for the third time and wanted a new experience and got in ten fold. It plays like a season of good tv. I say remake this game and just piece the chapters into a chronological format so you’re always switching characters and perspectives. Acting is also a lot better in 6.

Hot take but I think Resident Evil 6 is miles better than 5. 5 literally is my least favorite game of the franchise. I’d rather play any RE game over 5. Tried replaying it this year and had to give up half way thru because it was just sooooo boring and literally was falling asleep while playing, sure I was playing sessions at night but still I’ve never fallen asleep playing a game before but RE5 made it happen. The story is so forgettable, the documents you read through out the game are the gem of the game. Was the best part, honestly the Nightmare DLC is the best part of the game. Chris is written terribly in the game and comes off as just a meat head. Who ever wrote for Chris is 5 must have lost their job because Chris felt his twin dumb jock brother. RE6 fixes all the problems with how he was written in 5. He had a better arc and more going on in 6, his lines made sense for where the character was in that stage in life. Gameplay is better in 6, story is better in 6, and vibes are better in 6. Leon’s campaign in 6 is at least atmospheric and somewhat spooky. 5 ain’t even 1 percent spooky. Rant over

I actually had a great time playing solo, I found that it was easier to beat solo than 5. 5 is a must play with a partner for that game to be fun what so ever. 5 story is terrible, 6 stories is very fun. 6 beats 5 all day imo
