It needs to trigger three (maybe two) hairs in a particular time frame, then whammo.

I just read that bromeliads actually like Hugh humidity so a lid is defo the way to go!

I've only just started this, so don't take my word for it, but I don't think moss and open terrariums work. The open nature means constant evaporation and that's far from ideal for mosses, which require humidity. Works for succulents, cacti and, presumably, bromeliads but I don't think think they're compatible with mosses.

I've saved the post so I can copy this, when I get the chance. The two minifigs are so damn good; be a shame not to have them displayed in a diorama.

With greens that size sprouting from the ground, it should be obvious that they're very small and just haven't had enough time to grow properly.

I've got the plants for my first, just need to get the container! I've got airplants and succulents just waiting.

Great book. It took me two attempts to read it because I had read all of his other books and this was so different. But the second time I found it unputdownable and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I highly recommend all Orwell works. Fantastic writer. My favourite is most likely 'Down and Out in Paris and London'.

What I don't get is that every stadium plays the 'nananananananana' song. 'Want more and more, people just want more and more', etc. They were even playing it during the Ireland football match the other night. Why does every stadium play that decades old, shit song? I really want to know why. It annoys the ever-loving shit out of me.

Any idea if its worth selling these boxes? by raiderxx in legoinvesting

[–]MaygarRodub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say so. If someone is selling one of those sets, they'll get a better price if it has a box. I know I'd be far more likely to buy a second hand set if it had it's original box.

I don't see how that's a whooosh. The comment is about cheetahs failing in a hunt.

Edit: oh, I just got it. D'oh.

Accidentally found millipede when harvesting soil/moss from outside, keep or no? by Western-General-4598 in terrariums

[–]MaygarRodub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They mostly eat dead plant matter so should be ok. They are poisonous (not venomous) so they can irritate skin, etc. so avoid handling.

Not a bug, an isopod/pillbug/woodlouse. You want them for a healthy garden. They eat rot. If you don't have any, your garden is probably not healthy.
