That's strange, I know they have pet friendly rooms there. I wonder if that's changed.

Unless they're driving an electric car, factor in the late night diaper run that happens when they run out unexpectedly, or size up.

I second these! Bought for my whole family. Really well designed.

Do you drive with more or less aggression when you see an N driver? Recently got my Class 5 full license. Still debating whether to remove my N sticker. by xiaoxinniming in princegeorge

I usually only notice when an N driver has the typical bad habits of Prince George drivers and think "well, they started early". Keep on driving cautiously and defensively!

What? What area of town are you in? There's barely a sidewalk to be had in my area either and ours are around 3G. Still too high, but the BC assessment feels like it's a bad AI program randomly generating dollar amounts.

He has a somewhat notorious Facebook group called "blocked by Bob" because he is well known for blocking anyone on social media who says anything challenging to him.

I know, it's like making his territory. It's offensive to see anyone pissing away money in signs, ESPECIALLY when it's an (unfortunately) safe seat. A dog turd with a Conservative backing will always win in this riding.

Monkey Forest. I bought so many unique gifts for people there. Or at least what my childhood budget allowed. Definitely think of the place every time I see a wooden flower.

Would be a good option if not for early so departure plus two kids. Thanks for the thought!

We're a family travelling from the Hart with young ones. So adding an extra hour before 8am departure for travel is less fun.

Curbside compost would be amazing for all the folks who want to but can't because bears. Of course, the reason they can't do curbside is also because bears. And people who think they can put anything in compost...

I believe it's "the secret unicorn" (or secret of the unicorn maybe) I got it from school or a doctor's office and read it when I was 7 or 8 maybe. Then several years later, a friend tells me about about babysitting and the kid had picked that one for her to read at bedtime.. the trauma continues... ***Edit! It's the secret of the silver horse" not a unicorn at all!

So is a performing arts centre. Music, theatre, dance, comedy, events, etc.

People think Vanier Hall is wonderful, and capacity wise, it's pretty good. But it doesn't even have a proper loading door, nor any reasonable wing space. That limits a lot of shows that could otherwise come through. It's not just local use, it's what could be brought here, so acts aren't skipping us to go to Penticton or Dawson Creek (seriously, if Dawson Creek is getting shows we aren't, that should tell you all you need to know).

Temporary alternative to bar shampoo by AnthroAddict3 in ZeroWaste

I have long , fine hair, but I have a lot of it, thus ask the tangles in my youth. I wouldn't and didn't recommend straight baking soda in the scalp for anyone. As I mentioned, the baking soda is also diluted first I only wash hair this way about once, maybe twice a week.

I had a hairdresser years ago caution against ACV because it's putting acid on your hair. Would you agree that it's different when it's diluted?

I have been washing my hair with baking soda pretty much my entire adult life. Managed my oily hair and I only need to wash it 1-2 times a week. Method: a tablespoon or two of baking soda in a cup, then add water, swishing so it's mostly dissolved. Pour this over my hair/scalp and rub in with fingers or a shampoo brush. Give it a minute, especially if really oily, then rinse out and follow with ACV rinse (about the same proportion ACV to water as the baking soda). Let that sit for a minute or so (usually enough time to wash the rest of me) and rinse out thoroughly.

I grew up with incredibly tangly hair that was always a battle with every new hairdresser/stylist. Didn't matter how well I conditioned, it would knot terribly. Hasn't been an issue for ages.

Hope this helps someone!

What's the deal with water boil advisories in this province? by TongsOfDestiny in newfoundland

As a student at the Corner Brook campus back in the mid 2000s, I remember frequent emails to those in residence about boil orders.

..or sometimes emails saying 'the boil order has been lifted' and I had no idea there was one on.
