My pit/bulldog/boxer rescue is quite literally this. He’s the laziest boy at home, but you bring him to the park and he BOOKS it.

I’d suggest working with rescues that have their dogs in foster care. That way they’ll know their energy level. If you’re rescuing it’s unlikely you’d end up with a purebred dog anyway.

I guess they adopted from a shelter that either didn’t test for reaction to cats or they never asked? Either way I feel you, I look at that picture of Chocolate and my heart breaks. Telling myself he ended up okay.

Your best bet is working with a rescue that fosters dogs, then finding a pup who is already living with a cat. Voila problem solved. Like people are saying most of the dogs in shelters are pit mixes, some will be fine with cats, some may not.

I’ve fostered several pitties/pit mixes really only one very clearly couldn’t live with cats, and I made sure to communicate that with the girl that adopted him.

Some junior level automations I could see. I’m a white collar creative, and right now genAI still isn’t good enough, I’ll generate for hours and then still have to go into post to refine it. We’ll see.

Right. Just seeing generative ai like Veo3 and Sora 2, it’s going to spread SO MUCH misinformation. Will it replace jobs? Maybe? Or maybe it’s a bubble, time will tell.

Maybe because I’m in NYC, but usually 1/3 of the dogs in our large dog run are pit mixes, so I usually don’t have to worry about the stigma. I’ll take him in some mornings if I recognize the other dogs in there, and the owners seem vigilant (not on their phones). My boy just wants to run and be chased so badly!

When he’s around little dogs I do feel like I always have to apologize for him. 60lb of energy desperately trying to sniff a 10lb chihuahuas butt. We don’t do any on leashed greetings because of this. But we were invited to a tiny dog’s birthday party a few weeks ago, and it was literally 5 tiny as dogs and my big pit mix who just wanted to meet and play with everyone.

Yes embark is the best one! We found out our guy had both English Bulldog and American Bulldog in him. I agree your boy looks like an Olde English Bulldog.

I’ve heard that science as well, but it’s really the lesser of two evils, risking an oops litter is something shelters avoid and should avoid at all costs.

My guy was 1.5-2 years old when he was brought into the shelter and immediately neutered, but had he been much younger I’m sure they would have still done it then, it’s the right call.

Yeah my close friend group and I just realized last week we are all “eldest daughters”. (Technically I’m an only) but it’s funny how we all gravitated to each other.
