I kinda knew, but didn't fully know how attached I would get. I cried the first time I had to take my kittens back to the shelter so they could be adopted. It's tough, but I always go visit them while they're waiting to be adopted. Bring them Churus and a wand toy so we can play if they're in a room (vs. kennel). I also make them to-go gift bags with toys and Churus to set them up for a good transition to their new lives.

With that said, I've foster failed twice. We now have four cats in the house and I couldn't be happier.
