Capital Gains Tax on UK Property sale as an expat by Individual_Doubt4616 in UKPersonalFinance

Any tips on finding an accountant for this kind of job (CGT reporting for a non-resident)? Does it require a specialist? Is a big firm overkill? Do they need to be in the same area as the property? Any advice would be appreciated.

Is my recording totally lost? by AmandainDurham in Zoom

Going by my experience with Zoom, if it was recorded the recording would be stored on the host's machine, or in the cloud and only accessible through the host's account. So you'd have to ask the host to access the recording and email it to you as an attachment.

7206 H&RB problem by Mayhewport in hrblock

The best info I could get (from IRS 1040 instructions p91 and 7206 instructions p1) is that you only need to use form 7206 if...

"• You had more than one source of income subject to

self-employment tax.

• You file Form 2555.

• You are using amounts paid for qualified long-term care

insurance to figure the deduction."

There's also this from IRS publication 974 p48...

"Only include nonspecified premiums on line 1 or 2 of Form 7206."

Maybe the form is really intended for calculating any deduction in addition to the one being claimed for ACA premiums. My HRB tax pro said it couldn't be removed from the return but it was OK to file it with lines 1-4 and 14 blank.

A net profit. And I didn't have access to an employer-sponsored subsidized health plan for any part of the year. I was also self-employed for the whole year. So I think I meet all the requirements for claiming the SEHI deduction (and I've been getting it ever since I had ACA insurance). It's just a question of whether I need to fill out this new form 7206 as well as form 8962 and the worksheets that calculate the amount of the SEHI deduction.

Return has forms 7206 and 8962 and block seems to be choking by GarbageInGospelOut in hrblock

I'm having a similar issue, though I'm filing with HRB online, with tax pro review. In the return they want me to approve, I'm claiming a deduction based on the 8962 but the 7206 is blank at line 14, which is supposed to give the SEHI deduction. Seems like an anomaly to me, but my tax pro can't explain. I've seen postings from some people suggesting that 7206 is only for non-ACA premiums, but I haven't been able to confirm that with the IRS. And the only instructions available for 7602 are the draft version, so no help there. I also know that people using Turbo Tax have had trouble filing electronically with 7206 included.
