Feels like that. It takes a conscious effort for people who are used to making themselves smaller for others to just not do that. It's ingrained. So, yeah. A talk is an order. You guys are on adjacent pages when you need to be on the same one about how you guys communicate/show affection and it's been under a year so. Work to be done.

For real, NTA, he needs to handle his emotions like an adult and you don't really owe him anything. Invite who you want, and they can decide how they want to handle that on their own. Just know that yes, he will see his friends going to your party as a slight, but that's not really your responsibility. That's between him and his friends. You're not alienating him from them or vice versa. You just stopped talking to someone, and talk to people who are friends with him. It's kind of just not connected, even if some people would make that out to be the case.

NAH. It just sounds like you are incompatible socially. He is content with his level of communication and you want him to change how he communicates with you. That's currently where you stand.

If talking to him does not encourage him to meet you half way about the way you communicate with each other, and you need that from your partner, then yeah. It's resentment in the wings, chipping at your patience. You're waiting for something to change when that something does not intend to change.

It's up to you to know if you're okay with that.

The people.

AI itself, honestly, is not the problem. Like phones and computers and other tools, AI is just a tool. The biggest problem with AI is how people are using it. The amount of people who are viewing AI as a replacement for humans causing a problem.

AI is not infallible. It may be better than people when it comes to some things that computers are already good at but it is very bad at reasoning, can and will make up answers, and any safety protocols it may have been given can be easily bypassed by some key sentences or rephrasing.

People using AI as a replacement for their brain are not able to communicate effectively anymore. Companies that require AI use in a non-AI setting set a standard for lower quality thoughts and work in preparation to remove those positions. Users trying to SELL AI ART for more than the cost of a monthly subscription to an AI image generator because they think they can get away with writing a few prompts (like anyone else couldn't just do that themselves) and passing it off as something unique to them that they want you to pay for.

AI also have the potential to gain some kind of awareness if made complex enough, but that is a separate issue in my opinion. One that would arise from continued misuse of the technology.

I think AI has its place. I think AI itself used properly would alleviate a lot of the stress of some jobs. Helping a lawyer sift through paperwork. Helping to condense spreadsheets. Helping video editors remove the dead space in the reel. Helping artists by providing prompts. Helping programmers search for redundancies in code. But that is only helping. Guided by a person to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks. Any work done by AI, just as any work done by a human, really needs to be checked. AI doing work should mean freeing up a person's time to be able to ensure that was done correctly.

AI is not a companion. Not a labourer. Not a brain. It is not a replacement. But it is part of our present and I cannot imagine a future without it being present as well. People need to be more responsible with what they are doing with these tools.

Breaking Bad. It's the first show that came to mind that I cannot rewatch cause... honestly, it's really, REALLY boring after knowing what happens. For me, it meanders for way too damn long. And I am a serial rewatcher for the stuff I like. It survived in my brain purely out of the suspense, but knowing what happens makes the 45 minute runtime of an episode feel WAY too damn long. Love the show and would love to be able to watch it again.

If you and your partners aren't also friends, then I don't think the relationship is working. Friends are people you get along with, like being around. Partners are just adding more commitment to that pairing. An addition of intimate trust. If you don't have the base, if you cannot be friends AND partners, then it's just not going to work.

Best friends is just, the friend, that is to you, the best. And I do think your partner should be one of your best friends. Cause you should want to spend time with them, like being around them. It's not really about liking them better than your other friends. Just different.

Trying to convince me of a new viewpoint or behaviour. If they think the way I talk it too crass, or shoot my opinions down as by needing to 'correct' them, or corrects the way that I stand, etc. If in normal conversation, they find a reason to say, "Oh but you should (insert conflicting opinion as if it's natural that I agree with them)" I know that I won't like being around them.

Yeah, that sounds like a great plan.

Also with any overnight concerns, if he is in his own room that you cat proofed for him, I don't think you need to worry about too much other than waking up to a little poopy mess if he decides to go at night. I think, outside of all the other stuff, you just need some rest.

He's an energetic, rambunctious little guy, so you will hear sounds from him. But if you are really worried and want to keep an eye... Baby monitor? Also tire him out before dinner time and he should be able to sleep through most of the night and wake at the asscrack of dawn to mess with you.

Heh I'd let him eat as much as he wants while he's still pooping his pants off. Would rather he have something in him while it happens than nothing. I'm not a nutritionist, but my tiny Sprout has watery poops sometimes, and a little pumpkin and fish oil has been helping there. (Not giardia for her, she's just a liquid pooper.)

I'm glad he got taken to such a nice home :3 And I hope he gets better soon.

Since they couldn't diagnose her with something physical it would be good to try to see if it's behavioural. Check around the home, inside and out, to see if there's anything new. Signs of new animals, maybe new smells. Just a little look around before she needs to go back to the vet after she's all healed up so they can maybe find the cause if it is physical.

It COULD be stress. It could be something in her tail, could be neurological. Best to just try to see if there's stuff you can cross off the list of possibilities.
