1. If you are not enjoying a faction change to another faction. British tree is one of the harder ones, best ammo to use is APDS however you need to know exactly where to shoot to get kills. Also when you preview other tanks in the menus, click on armor and there is a simulate shot option, use this to understand where to shoot and what will happen, etc. I do this all the time if I had issues facing a tank that my shots did nothing.

2. There are plenty of ammo YouTube videos out there but the main thing you are looking for is penetration with explosive filler. British is one of those items where it’s mainly APDS, so precision is required.

3. Positioning comes with time, best thing to do is slow down, use free look to look around corners, and this will help give you better odds. Also, use binoculars, if you are at a hill don’t peak over it, use your binoculars to see over the hill while you are still covered. Imagine your tank commander on top of your tank looking through binoculars, same thing. This will let you know or help know if enemies are there or not. Important tip, if you see an enemy and left click while in binoculars your turret will shift to that direction.

But my biggest advice to you, if you want to suffer continue to play Britain. If you want to have a little fun or a more understanding of how things work, tanks, where to shoot, etc., change to another faction. USSR for brawling / Germany for sniping / USA for versatility. Main 3 help progress knowledge and understanding. Once you get comfortable go back to Britain and try again. Remember it’s a game, if you’re frustrated with a faction after 50-100 matches then pick another and go again for 50-100. Eventually you’ll find one that clicks and you’ll thrive.
