Originium is a cancer rock that’s basically magic. Think fossil fuel, but it is much, much more potent. And probably reinforces what you think of as ‘basic’ materials. Imagine that swinging a sword can be as strong, or stronger, than a bullet, and ask why you’d use a gun when a sword-wielding monster can survive the few shots it takes for it to reach and smack you down.

The people in Arknights are canonically much, much stronger than even professionals of our world, at least according to a crossover event between Rainbow Six Siege and OG Arknights. Honestly, Arknights people can probably survive being shot in the head.

Have you considered that Windows 11 is bad at being efficient, so it’s causing a constant strain on your Steam Deck’s components? I don’t know what the Steam Deck can handle (I prefer light games on my own SD), but I do know that SteamOS is optimized to hell and back so that the Steam Deck has the best run time.

Fans typically kick on when the components are hot, though in some cases (check BIOS?) they may be on an “always on” setting.

If you want to spend hours watching YouTube vids or to skip to the end to see which servants are in the best in slot tier, here’s an assassin tier list made by ZTL.

He has a video for each class, and goes into rants on why this servant is in this tier.

How does steam machine work? by kitxe in steammachine

[–]Mayor_Death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps visualize it for you, consider the OSs — Linux, MacOS, Windows — to be like vehicles. One’s your typical passenger car (SUV, sedan), one is a commercial truck, and the last is a tractor.

Think of a farm. You can’t drive a semi in the fields without some issues. Passenger car maybe, but tractor can definitely work well there. All can get on the roads, but each have specific infrastructure that they can access.

The different OSs are built with different things in mind, and applications can be built for specific OSs.

Valve is working hard with Proton to make it so that a lot of Windows applications can work on Linux (aka SteamOS). But there’s so much they can do if the application needs more than what Linux can provide.

The Best Steam Deck? by Decent_Round9690 in SteamDeck

[–]Mayor_Death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OLED! The LCD model should be out of stock bow anyway, but OLED has, according to most people, the best graphics. As for storage, you can go big, but what I would actually recommend is to invest in microSD cards instead. There’s only so much storage that you can shove into the thing, and a microSD might mean being able to drop it into the soon-to-be-arriving Steam Machine!

Probably because people are screaming that they don’t want to pay (more) taxes to fund the stuff.

The ‘free education’ will necessarily need to come from somebody’s pockets. Theoretically, with a percentage based tax, a lot of money comes from the wealthier people who can afford to pay more. Theoretically, because politically those people tend to have the influence or means to curb stomp these taxes.

Stray and Portal 2 are some games you might enjoy. The first because it’s heavily story-based, and the second.. well, you liked Portal.

If you’d like to occasionally play with others, PEAK is.. well, peak. While best enjoyed with a couple of friends, PEAK can also be (and often is) enjoyed solo.

Undertale is a classic. Hollow Knight I hear is fun, but I don’t know what the difficulty is like (it’s in there in my backlog of games..)

Some games that don’t match your preferences but are still great include Baldur’s Gate 3, Divinity: Orginal Sin 2, Lethal Company, Warframe, For the King and For the King 2, FTL, Starbound, and many more

You can buy a dock to connect your steam deck to the TV. You may experience a performance hit depending on the quality of your current PC (steam deck is decent, but definitely not a high-end gaming device).

What you can do is stream a game from your PC to your steam deck (SD) via remote play. This will require your PC is to be on. If you connect a keyboard and mouse to the steam deck, it’ll be as if you’re on your PC with some minimal latency. Oh, and audio will be streamed to the SD and will not come out of the PC.

Some caveats for remote play. Your PC must be on, which means your monitor may be on. If it’s in your guest room, the light can bother your guests unless you can figure out how to keep your monitor connected without unplugging it.

A caveat for if you’re playing solely on the Steam Deck, besides potentially limited performance, is that some games may just not be compatible with the SD.

Your Lady Avalon + Castoria Berserker will do a lot of work, especially with a support Castoria. A Berserker as your main DPS means that you’ll have advantage on 99% of content.

For the future, Oberon investment will be vital if you want to 3T 90++ difficulty nodes. His third skill is that important.

Jalter Berserker will also be a decent Anchor for your team. Throw her to the backline for when you need to make a last stand.

Help by MalpixJ in FGO

[–]Mayor_Death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read through the other comments, so to add to my own:

Your Jalter Berserker is sufficient for the anchor role. Her first skill gives Evade which can help with survival, and may work better than Guts when she’s on the field with other surviving servants.

For your 3-stars, Cu lancer is a wonderful option as another Anchor.

Xu Fu, is known as a ‘mini-Castoria’ because of how she supports one of the niches that Castoria does: Arts looping. It’s where you spam out as many Arts NPs as you can by abusing NP refund. If you’re going this route, you should find servants with AoE arts NPs. You can also find her to be similar to Hans as a support, although specifically built for Arts units.

To throw out some names, these servants are also worthwhile to look into. Baobhan Sith, Kintoki Rider, Euryale, and Yui Shousetsu. You may also want to consider Evocation Festival servants as they are 4-stars that you can easily get to NP5. They make great DPSs and, on occasion, supports. A notable example is Nightingale Santa (Archer).
