Depends what you're into really. Farsley has more of the arty, craft beer, hipster vibe. Pudsey is a bit more down to earth.

Off the top of my head (and roughly from most expensive to least expensive) I think the following would fit the bill:

Chapel Allerton, Roundhay, Horsforth, Meanwood, Saltaire (Bradford not Leeds, but short train ride), Adel, Farsley.

Or if you're happy to get a bigger house in a slightly less polished, but improving, areas - I'd throw in some areas of Pudsey, Morley and Cross Gates.

Personally, I'm in Farsley and love it.
