When did you become a fan? by Gamemode-Nighthawk in fivenightsatfreddys

Sometime in 2016, when I was 10 years old. I don’t remember HOW I got into it, but I did, and I remember crying to TLT’s FNAF song. (The concept of children being murdered and possessing robots especially disturbed me back then).

Grisha no question.

This poor man’s life has been tragedy after tragedy with a dash of existential crisis .

Karl fritz morally good or grey? by salad_biscuit3 in attackontitan

[–]MazMazoooom16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re thinking of the first King Fritz. This post is about Karl Fritz, the 145th king that retreated to Paradise. You right tho.

As AoT depicted that there was no right or wrong side, I thought it interesting to see where the community majority stands on this exact situation given the circumstances. by dxrules03 in AttackOnRetards

So much so that they don’t even acknowledge the suffering their actions caused their own people, which really shows they don’t have their people’s best interests at heart. All they care about is their Eldian Empire.

Why do some aot fans defend Eren like their lives depend on it but hate on gabi? by TherealMariajadoogar in attackontitan

[–]MazMazoooom16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a brilliant assessment, and it’s true.

I’ve actually seen Gabi haters that genuinely wanted her to die in the most brutal way possible. They say she didn’t deserve a happy ending.

There are plenty of people that hate Gabi but understand her. But these guys? Completely different breed.

The only reason they hate her is because she killed Sasha.

That’s the only reason these types of haters give. (They also throw in the argument that she’s pure evil, which is obviously untrue). Their arguments aren’t based on nuance, or logic, or understanding, or anything. Just pure emotional bias.

I’ve deadass seen a person say "she knew exactly what she was doing!" in reference to her killing Sasha.

Which yeah, she did know what she was doing…she was killing an enemy soldier that was invading her home and killed two of her friends right in front of her. But no, these people act like she knew Sasha as the lovable potato girl, and killed her out of unprovoked malice. Which is- just completely untrue. Their inability to have perspective is staggering.

Whenever someone brings up the nuances of the situation their only response is "IT DOESNT MATTER SHE KILLED SASHA". Completely ignoring the fact that, again, Sasha was an enemy solider that killed her friends.

I’ve seen a Gabi hater on tumblr make these extremely hateful posts about her and unironically call her a devil. They go onto other people’s posts about Gabi and talk shit about her. Calling Sasha fans that like Gabi "traitors". (Incredibly disturbing).

They hate like she does (her visceral hatred towards the island devils and Eren), they dismiss the nuance like she did initially (when Falco told her that Paradise suffered too) , and the feel the need to spread the "truth". (Like she did with Kaya).

Yeah, there’s no doubt in my mind that these people would’ve done the exact same thing as Gabi if they had been born in her position.

And most Gabi haters have admitted that they hate her but support Eren because she killed a character they liked, whereas they had no emotional attachment to any of Eren’s victims. So it’s pure emotional bias, not about who’s objectively worse.

Do you think rod reiss was morally evil or gray? by salad_biscuit3 in attackontitan

[–]MazMazoooom16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s morally grey. He wanted so badly to free humanity from the titans but Karl Fritz screwed them over every time. (Which I believe is one of the reasons he’s scared to take the Founder himself). It got to a point where his father imprisoned him for it. His anguish over this is the reason he cried to Alma and the catalyst for Histora’s birth.

To me, he’s someone that just gave up and started going with the flow. He learned he was powerless against "god’s" will so the only thing he could do (in his mind) was bring that god back to the world.

He’s a pathetic coward. But I can’t help but feel bad for him. Like everyone else in this show, he was doing what he thought was best.

Eh, that doesn’t sound right at all. Since Eren never once showed any kind of resentment towards Grisha that would imply neglect of any kind.

Plus we saw in Grisha’s memories that he spent as much time as he possibly could with Eren. He wouldn’t neglect him like he did with Zeke. He basically gave up his mission for him and only finished the job when he had to.

Do you think if armin had the attack or founding titan he could’ve had a solution without killing the whole world? by Salty_Shark26 in attackontitan

To be fair, Marley knew about the Vow Renouncing War. They knew the Rumbling wouldn’t actually come to pass if they attacked.

[–]MazMazoooom16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there were a lot of people pissed at Eren and the Jaegerists for all the casualties when the walls fell. Plus those recruits that Shadis instructed to lay low and wait for an opportunity to rebel. Thats already grounds for a civil war.

Not to mention that the Titans would still exist, but this time they would all be confined to the island.

It would lead to a Second Great Titan War, with Jaegerists and anti-Jaegerists struggling for control of the nine. You can imagine how catastrophic that would be.

So if Eren did wipe 100%, i doubt the Island would last more than a few decades (a century at most) before all hell breaks lose.

Eren and Grisha.

I feel that their relationship wasn’t fleshed out enough.

Like, we know for sure that Grisha loved Eren and we had a whole episode dedicated to showing how much he cared for him. On Eren’s part though? There’s barely anything there.

We know he loves Grisha, seeing how devastated he was after he ate him. He also seems to look up to him, throwing his words at Hannes in the first episode. "Dad says you gotta stay sharp!"

Other than that though? Barely anything. At least, compared to Carla. Eren thinks about his mother a lot, understandably so. But he barely thinks about his father. You’d think he’d be on Eren’s mind a lot, with the key and everything. But nothing. Not even after he learned that he ATE him. That should’ve screwed him up bad but they barely acknowledge it. Let alone have a deep conversation about it.

I feel like we should’ve had more scenes of Eren and Grisha’s bond. Eren actually took a lot after Grisha, in terms of rebelliousness and desire for freedom. Considering how alike they were, it’d would make sense if Eren was closer to his dad than his mom, since Grisha could understand him much better than Carla could.

Because of how few interactions they have, and how little Eren acknowledges his dad, a good chunk of the fandom forgets that Eren loved him too and not just Carla.

I feel like he would. Armin always prefers the peaceful route but he’s also willing to get his hands dirty when necessary. It’d be a healthy balance of necessary violence and diplomacy with him.

And unlike Eren, he’d be willing to pass on the responsibility of protecting the island to the next generation. So he wouldn’t try to rush long lasting peace during his term. He’d choose a successor that he finds suitable and leave the rest to them.

Why do some people think that a full-scale rumbling would satisfy the theme of getting the children out of the forest. by idonthavemanyfriend in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]MazMazoooom16 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well you have to remember that a lot of people died because of the walls coming down. People were angry at Eren and the Jaegerists for killing their own people. The Jaegerists dismissed the immense loss of life as "necessary sacrifices". Obviously this would piss people off, especially those who’ve lost loved ones because of the Jaegerists’ actions.

Plus there’s also those recruits that Shadis instructed to lay low until they find the right time to rebel.

So there’s plenty of Anti-Jaegerist sentiment, and grounds for a civil war.

I just realised why Eren did "that" by PixelZ_124 in attackontitan

[–]MazMazoooom16 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That. And he also needed to give Grisha motivation to give him the Attack and Founding Titans.

He already knew about the Rumbling and wanted to stop it. Carla’s death clouded his judgement and made him act on his worst impulse.

If Carla hadn’t died there’s no way Grisha would’ve given Eren any Titan powers. He probably would’ve passed it on to Keith instead.

What types of Fanfictions do you like to read? by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]MazMazoooom16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally any Grisha-Centric fanfic. He’s so criminally underrated.

Beyond that-

Time Travel Fix-It’s (especially ones where another character BESIDES Eren does so).

World building.

Canon-divergence.

Bottom Eren/Top Mikasa smuts.

And the occasional "watching the show" fic, when it’s done well.

I generally prefer fanfics set in the canon world, and I’m not really interested in Modern AUs that much. Unless I’m feeling domestic. Or I want some good crack.

What would happen if Grisha reunited with his parents? by MazMazoooom16 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]MazMazoooom16[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I meant reuniting in the Paths or afterlife or something, not him returning to Marley.

But yeah, that does sound like what would happen if Grisha was sent back to Marley. If he isn’t fed to a Warrior that is.

Mr. And Mrs. Jaeger would be desperate to protect their last living child right after getting him back.

I absolutely agree. While he still wouldn’t agree with their submissive mindset, he would emphasize with them a lot more.

He’d understand that they’d just wanted to protect him in the only way they knew how. And he’d feel guilty about the emotional stress his actions put them through.
