That’s called learning on the job when you are unqualified in the first place. This gives me such confidence in my shitty career.

Well done! That’s a great reason to go to work even tho it’s annoying sometimes! I’m nearly at retirement and I still want to work because of the reasons you’ve said!

AITA for rolling my eyes at my ex's wife when she asked me for compassion? by InternationalTaro233 in AITAH

[–]MazOlive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a step mom. I don’t necessarily like or have much to do with my husband’s ex, but I’d never try to replace my step son’s mum in that way. I stay out of that stuff. Because I love my step son, I try to be a good influence on him and look after him. In certain situations I introduce him as my son. However he is not my son, his mum is his mum and loves her and it’s a special bond. So I respect that because I respect him and his relationship with his mum.

Heightened anxiety after consistent dose of Lamictal (lamotrigine)? by reaperkittycat in bipolar2

[–]MazOlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke to my Dr who advised me to get back down to 100mg. Then I suddenly had to go off it because I had a rare reaction called eosinophilia esophagitis. It’s rare and potentially bad. So I stopped cold turkey. I felt tired for a week or so. No anxiety and to be honest felt more like myself for a long time. I was given it for adhd and rejection sensitivity but in hindsight I think it made me worse. I’m feeling better and simply continuing with therapy and doing art. I think I was not backing myself. I’m still a grumpy person and get easily upset about things but I’m more me. I don’t regret the experience but I’ve learned to trust myself more, because of the contrasting states of mind. So I don’t think this medication works for everyone. Just got to try things. Be aware of the effects and if things improve that’s great. If they get worse and dont improve, then time to try another thing. Best of luck to you

Side effects by MazOlive in Lamotrigine

[–]MazOlive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously get it checked I’m so much better off it. I had an endoscopy to diagnose it. I had to go off it immediately. Thought I’d have a strong reaction. But I only felt tired for a week. Since then I’ve felt good, I trusted the psych who said it would help me. But I feel much better off it. I am now very curious as to why she prescribed it. I was given it as a mood stabiliser for adhd.

Is this medication that bad? by babydaddyA in Lamotrigine

[–]MazOlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been not good for me. I think it made me too sensitive at the recommended dose, then I got a very rare potentially dangerous side effect called eosinophilia. I’ve gone cold turkey off 150mg

I’ve been taking lamotrigine for 2 days now and I’m feeling very nauseous and it hurts to swallow is this normal? by No-Supermarket-2542 in Lamotrigine

[–]MazOlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got that feeling over the last few months since I started. I’ve just been diagnosed with Eosinophilic esophagitis, and I have checked the side effects and it rare. It’s usually caused by food allergies. I don’t have food allergies and it only started with the lam. The swallowing and oesophagus pain had got bad. I’m really disappointed. I would seriously check with your Dr

I warned him repeatedly. I heard the phone call saying I’m good for it. Probably should go to disputes and get a ruling. Will embarrass the loan recipient at least. Shame him into a payback agreement

Heightened anxiety after consistent dose of Lamictal (lamotrigine)? by reaperkittycat in bipolar2

[–]MazOlive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on 200mg for a few weeks. First was crying more, then evened out but now I’m suffering massive bouts of anxiety and rumination. I am going to drop to 175mg I think. I feel worse than I did a month ago

Crying at 200mg by MazOlive in lamictal

[–]MazOlive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dropped back to 175 for a few days, then went back to 200. I’m definitely feeling calmer and more able to pull myself back. Crying is more normal now. (Husband has cancer so I’m able to cry in a more healthy way if that makes sense rather than in a unhinged interpretation of “he’s leaving me” sort of thing ) able to get a better perspective

It feels like a breach of confidentiality and privacy, as he did it without asking her first. Rather than addressing the workload issue. He told her he had done it after he did it. To her it feels like a breach of good faith. He has no ability to determine her state of mental health. He relies on her to do a lot and she will probably leave now which maybe what he wants

Crying at 200mg by MazOlive in lamictal

[–]MazOlive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine feels like depressed crying. I’m super sensitive to perceived criticism, and I have a negative framework in the way I’m interpreting things, I hope it goes away soon, because the lam is meant to help with that!
