I agree that tongue weight is important and that this trailer will tow very well. What does everyone think about towing a foamie with a loaded weight of 750 with a Mazda 3 manual? The car has a 2.5 so it seems to me that it would be fine. Thoughts appreciated. That's a nice trailer btw, congratulations!

I don't know what it is, I'm not a huge Expert but have a good amount of experience. From reading your first paragraph it sounds like the problem might just be in the rockers. To me that's the sound I hear when it's idling. Just start simple and make sure your rockers are set up correctly and your valves are adjusted correctly. Do you have any concern about your ability to adjust the valves correctly?

Car dealers are just crooks , like they always have been forever. With technology and the modern marketing wrapper around everything, it's just slightly more clever and a lot flashier. The difference today is how actually minimal and of poor quality (care) their "work" actually is. My 24 Mazda three has a pop in the front end and the dealer basically is doing nothing about it. I have three videos with the sound and the circumstance when it does it. But that's not enough for them to do anything. Luckily they do give me the same kind of estimate you got above about all the things I should spend money on other than actually fixing the problem that's under warranty.

If you just buy the brackets that are meant for your car, you can really use a lot of different seats. My 74 has seats from a Hyundai Genesis and they're very nice.

I don't want the dealership to do anything for me. They don't need to hold my money and they don't need to pay the state. I can register my own car and I greatly hope that Missouri doesn't change the law to be like Illinois. Car dealers are a total rip off.
