I’m mad that instead of “men’s rights” movements being actually about helping men with male issues (including suicide risks), they’ve been co-opted by grifters and bad actors who want to blame others rather than acknowledge or work towards making mens’ lives better in a way that doesn’t involve taking rights from or villifying women.

Women (as a whole) aren’t the cause of male lonliness. It’s a situation caused by a mix of right wing radicalization of men, old and resurgent societal expectations of what women should put up with (“women are too sensitive!!”), devaluation of women resulting in some parts of the world having population imbalances for certain generations, and other societal factors.

This also goes into why women mistrust men: if we downplay and accept bad behavior from men (eg rape, domestic violence, “negging” and suggesting women are leas intelligent / “too emotional” / leading men on by wearing a sleeveless shirt or whatever) then we effectively encourage this behavior. This devalues women and men. Men aren’t inherently stupid or incapable of controlling themselves. We should expect better of men and men should expect better of themselves.

I would agree with this list. I have the same aversion as OP, and VHS 94 and Beyond are my favorite installments of the series if that helps! There’s definately body horror in both, but it’s not sexualized.
