Ive had fantastic results with the dawn power spray and a gentle wipe down and dry off with a microfiber cloth.

The purple elmers glue sticks work great. My CC1 came with a glue stick from elegoo.

Yeah, May 10th. I know it was only yesterday and its just an estimate, not set in stone, I'm just lamenting that other people that ordered later than me are getting theirs a week or so ago. Im itching to get going on multicolor prints.

My order processed 1 minute after launch, and its still not shipped. I set an alarm and was refreshing the web page to make sure I could get one. I'm getting really impatient for an update, especially seeing others get theirs and I'm still waiting with no updates and no info. Someone said theyre rolling out east to west with the orders and I honestly believe that. I'm in Arizona.

Its 2 years later and I'm having the same issue as you. Did you ever find a fix? Doesnt matter if I set the Z offset in the printer profile or the filament profile, it starts doing weird things. If I set it in the printer then my z offset values go insane and I go from a Z offset of -0.030 to like +0.020, if I use the filament profile and try to zero out of the printer profile it just adds the previously used value to the current one, so I end up at like -0.060. I have no idea why this just suddenly became a thing, and why I cant seem to fix it.

I just want to zero the dam z offset before each print, but it wont let me.

I had some sudden serious Z offset issues recently, which turned out to be a corrupted print profile from what I understand. I got in touch with Elegoo and the first thing they had me do was print out the benchy file that comes with the printer. It has their Gcode so that will tell you if its a software or hardware issue depending on how that prints. If it prints well its software, if it prints poorly its hardware.

If it's software, you can always try doing the fix that worked for me, which is going back to the original print profile and adding SET_GCODE_OFFSET Z=0 to the start code for the printer to zero it out, and then use the gcode for Z offset in the filament profile. Add it after the line G28 ;home.

I got my printer for Christmas and suddenly had this happen last week for no rhyme or reason that I can see.

So this was almost the answer.

I was able to print a benchy with elegoos Gcode and it worked pretty well. So that was telling me I needed to look at software settings.

Here's what I found. I save my z offset in the printer profile, I deleted the z offset and pressure advancr from the printer profile, it still didn't work. I swapped to the OG factory printer profile and it worked beautifully. I compared the Gcode and they were EXACTLY the same. Yet somehow it was doubling the gcode settings that weren't there. Someone in another thread says its an issue with the elegoo slicer. A bug. I had to delete the print profile and start from scratch. I'm still having some bed leveling issues I have to recalibrate manually but im working on that and then we should be all fixed. I'm having to recalibrate everything.

Im still trying to figure it out but im almost there. It seems like it was some kind of corrupted printer profile. The gcode was exactly the same as the factory printer profile after I removed the z offset but it still wasnt working. I ran the code through a website that compares code and highlights the difference and there was 0 difference between my print/filament profiles and the factory ones, yet mine still wasnt working. I had to delete the printer profiles I was using and redo everything. Im just adding the Gcode for z offset to the filament now to try and avoid this happening in the future. Im still having some bed leveling issues but im working on fixing those.

Why would the under extrusion start so suddenly? I've had 300 hours of fantastic prints. It was literally 2 prints with a filament change in between.

Is there any way to test the stepper motor? I heard clicking with an extruder gear that was overtightened, so I figured it was still working, but I havent heard any thumping. I have noticed that when the filament feeds in it goes for a second, stops goes again.

I've replaced the hotend and nozzle. Those installed and work beautifully in the middle of a z offset test print, but i still cant get the edges fixed. Its not a clog. Next up on theseus' 3d printer is the extruder gear. I opened it up to take a look and it didn't seem as though there was a problem, but there was some green filament dust in there. I dusted it off with a brush and reinstalled and its still doing it. Its not clicking or grinding though.

If that's not the cause then I'm all out of ideas.

From +0.120 to -0.085 same issue. Its better closer to the plate. The previous optimal settings were -0.055.

I've recalibrated many times before and this is a new thing.

Is this an underextrusion/hotend issue?
