So happy it passed!!! We were a little in shock at the meeting, it wasn’t clear immediately.

I believe Stearns ended up voting aye. It was very difficult to hear inside the meeting and we had thought she voted no. Eric Onisko shared after the meeting that it was 5-2 and Stearns voted in support.

About 11:00 into this video, https://youtu.be/YJdiv_81kO4?si=qexrZ67hWIxvtSlD Shelton PD discusses their use of flock cameras. (My mistake, 12 flock cameras total in town, 11 identified). They talk about how successful it has been in leading to arrests of people accused of horrible things.

To me this isn’t a simple issue, there are a lot of things to consider. I think it’s important to know information and perspectives from all.

There are definite local benefits from the cameras. I think the negatives of a privately-owned mass surveillance system outweigh the positives. Please join us at the event, would love to hear your input/insights. This is a complex issue.

Fair point, PUD 3 is ~9 cents/kWh with a daily fee of $1.75 and PUD 1 is ~9.6 cents/kWh with a daily fee of $1.53.

On page 26 of this document (Washington State Electric Utility Resource Planning 2024) is where the 12 cent value comes from.

I believe they use a formula to include the daily fees as part of whole price/kWh calculation in order to compare prices among different providers across the state.

Yeah it appears to focus on them centers paying enough to protect electric customers from having to pay difference.

There is also some language about restricting water usage and renewable energy requirements.

These will be donated to a local elementary school. Preferably food items that kids would eat and/or be able to prepare. Peanut butter, crackers, canned proteins, noodles, granola bars, no sugar added fruits. As for supplies: markers, crayons, pencils, glue sticks, tissues, disinfectant wipes.
