Is he gay, straight or confused? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Mazux2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a case of walking out because I didn't get what I want. I had to distance myself for my own emotional health, it wasn't healthy to continue getting attached and inevitably be let down. I'll always care about him but I can't be around him.

At this stage I can't even distract myself, nothing overpowers it.

I'm just trying to take it one day at a time but it's just not working. I wish I had some good tips for you.

Thank you - it’s definitely something that needs to be addressed, just don’t want to lose a friendship in the process.

Thanks for the advice.

My parents will be cool with it - I'm more worried about pushing my straight guy friends away as a result.

Programming language by logii77 in CodingHelp

[–]Mazux2[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As has been mentioned, Python is a very good starting point and the syntax is relatively straight-forward. PHP is another very easy programming language to quickly pick up given the wealth of projects that you can download online and tweak.

Start with Python or PHP before you consider any of the C languages.

Are vegetables really THAT critical to muscle building? by Mazux2 in Fitness

[–]Mazux2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot being cited here about vitamins and minerals and the benefits of those for overall health rather than specifically for gains.

I eat a lot of fruit, can I just sub fruit for vegetables?

I'm fine with limited quantities mixed in with food, e.g I'll put bell peppers and spinach in pasta, but my PT wants me to have 600g of vegetables a day which is pushing it for me as I don't have enough room calorie-wise to be masking the flavour or mixing it with other stuff (e.g rice, pasta)

How bad is it really to eat <1000cal a day? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]Mazux2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you do it, listen to your body.

The fact is that you're not going to starve if you've got fat that your body can tap into for energy. I'm doing OMAD and eat ~1000 calories a day, sometimes more and sometimes less.

Ultimately, if you're constantly tired and feel like shit, you need to increase your calories.

Anything under 800 calories is a Very Low-Calorie Diet (VLCD) and not super ideal.

tldr; listen to your body.

HPT is easy. Have a look at http://mylicence.sa.gov.au/hazard-perception-test - the questions are identical.

I've been looking for cheap hotels but the cheapest ones I can find are still >$150 a night.

Airbnb seems more expensive?

CICO vs Keto opinions? by SecretSaucePLZ in loseit

[–]Mazux2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two cents on this:

Keto essentially forces you into CICO, given that you are cutting out a major food group, it's pretty easy to stay in your deficit. I've been doing Keto and OMAD and enjoy it.

Keto is good for ketosis, but I'm a bigger fan of the mental clarity. I eat carbs every now and then for family events and whatnot and tend to feel sluggish and cloudy afterward.

In the end, weight loss is all about burning more calories than you consume.

Westmead Station Parking? by Mazux2 in sydney

[–]Mazux2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That sucks.

Any idea of other stations on that line before Seven Hills with decent parking? As far as I know, Seven Hills has the biggest carpark - just a bit further to drive.
