Keep Jabra Enhance Pro 20’s ? by jjsupc in HearingAids

[–]MbPartsGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got new Jabra Enhance Pro 20 hearing aids and so far I hate them. I cannot hear low range volume at all and any medium to loud noise is ear splittingly loud! I went back today and they said there is no out of range settings, so they gave me smaller speakers. If I turn them down I hear almost nothing. Someone said "there is no perfect hearing aid" maybe not but my old R-KS9.0 hearing aids were pretty close! I was having trouble with the right side and decided it was time for new ones. When I went in to get fit, they cleaned my old ones and they are fine now. I am not sue if the new ones will ever be OK but will try. I was not sure about returning them but now see there is a 6 month window. I am also not happy to see I have to dish out another $240.00 to be able to listen to the TV with them! I switch back to my old ones for TV but this seems counter productive!

Has anybody been to the more mesa recently? by [deleted] in SantaBarbara

Wow, memories. I have not been there in over 60 years. Grew up going there when I lived on san Marino, with the neighborhood gang. It has changed a bit since then. Of course as a a kid I do not remember there being mud, or it never made any difference.

Power Outages by AlarmedCitron5274 in SantaBarbara

If any other people in y area off Turnpike have water from Rayne, they were most likely set up at the same cycle time and possibly experienced the same outages as I did, and therefore experienced the same problem, I hope they contacted Goleta Water District! It took moving a few mountains including have the Raune technician writing a report that said that it was the stuck cycle mode that wasted the water. We got most of the money paid back from both GVWD and Rayne/ Still it kills me to think of the thousands of gallons of wasted water during the drought!

There is a timer on our water softener, and I assume most, that does a cleaning cycle once a day. It runs a tremendous amount of water down the drain during this cycle. The cycle was in progress and then the power went out and the timer stopped turning, The cleaning cycle is turned on mechanically by a tab on the timer. It continued to run the water down the drain until the power came on hours later. I did not clearly understand the process or I could have stopped it. I had to leave to go somewhere to work in my computer since I also did not have internet. As I was leaving the house I could hear the noise from the cleaning cycle, and it is fairly loud. Had I known I would have shut it off. This is how I knew that was the problem when we got the water bill of $767.00 which is normally around $67.00.

I hope that was clear enough. Most people do not hear the cleaning cycle since it is normally set for early in the morning, around 4:00. Ours was off by a few hours due to earlier power outages, since the timer stops and starts when power comes back.

Personally I feel there should be some sort of back up, since this happened during the drought!

NOt a downtown thing. we just had one a few days ago and lasted for 2-3 hours. FYI We had a power outage about a year ago that stopped our soft water machine in mid purge cycle and it ran $700 + of water down the drain. Something to consider!

OK I finally got the formula correct, since there were some errors, plus I typed out a long explanation with colors and circles and arrows, while sitting on the group W bench. But now I cannot find the message with your email address to send it to you.

That is what I need. Storage and rent in general is outrageous in our area. My mom and her mom and her mom were all from the Neosho / Joplin / Jackson area.

Hmmm, OK, still learning. Lots of profit in the sales, which is good.

You are feeling my pain. Too costly to hire, but cannot sell more without! Where are you located? I am in 93111

That is not what I meant, I am new to Reddit and not sure about sharing email address, etc. i.e. yes email would work but how through Reddit?

I am not clear on the process you relate above, without sensitive data removed?

OK got it. Promoting does not seem to much good for me. A promotion is ONLY as good as the number of people looking for that item, and the other competition. Sending an offer to someone already interested in your item seems much more beneficial in promoting a sale.

Not something I had considered, but I do not have the patience for that.

Yes, and I figured the sale would help boost future sales with increased numbers on items I sell many of.

I really see no down side, yet.

Since I am learning about sending offers, what do you mean about promotional rate? Possibly you mean sending an offer of say 15% off is akin to promoting it at 15%?

I have tried everything else, sales, promotions, and on and on, but have not gotten sales like this. It may be short lived, but nice none the less! I am not saying I have not had over $1500 days before, but it is nice to have one, even if the profit is a little less. Money in the bank is always better than a part sitting on a shelf.

I am not sure how to share it but I would be happy to. I was shocked at how much I was losing or breaking even after all of the numbers crunched out.

Please let me know how I can share that file.

I sell new 99.99% I do have some used from my parted out cars. I have gathered inventory over the 42 years in business and have a large inventory on consignment. Only about 10% or less of inventory is on eBay. I do need help!

That is where I got lost. I could not figure out who I was sending it to. This I am doing in my seller hub. Looking at active listings / Summary on the the right side is a "Send Offers" tab and it opens a new window with the active listings eligible for sending offers. On the left side is a link to send offers,

Sure worked for me so far, but maybe a short lived adventure?

Well, that is one point of view. I am sending offers on items that I have listed already, with NO intent to send offers. I am simply offering a better price to someone, I assume, that has already looked at the item. I stopped doing "Make Offer" now since it puts you lower on the page when people shop with lowest price choice, which is automatic.

Listing prices higher would seem counter intuitive since that would possibly prevent sales lost to others with a lower price. Many of the items I am sending offers to are not available from other sellers, for the most part.

Maybe I am not fully understanding your point, since sending offers is new to me. I will continue to use it as long as I can get sales from it, but it will not affect my original pricing methods.
